   This iconic Victorian coastal town hosts a free daily pelican‑feeding show. Flocks of wild pelicans circle low in the sky and gather to feed, creating a lively and heart‑warming scene. Visitors get an up‑close encounter with native Australian seabirds for an authentic coastal wildlife experience. We schedule our stop during off‑peak hours to avoid large crowds, leaving plenty of time for dining, wandering and taking photos.

2. George Bass Coastal Walk

   One of Melbourne’s most representative coastal hiking trails winds along cliff‑lined shorelines. On one side lies the sweeping Bass Strait, while untouched grassy slopes and open wilderness stretch out on the other. Boasting unobstructed panoramic sea‑and‑mountain views throughout, this trail delivers great hiking enjoyment as well as outstanding sightseeing and photography opportunities. We follow the classic approximately 5‑kilometre return route to Half Moon Bay for all participants. There is no group splitting, no rushed pacing and no cut‑short photo time. You can fully savour the most spectacular coastal stretches of the George Bass Coastal Walk at a comfortable pace.

3. The Nobbies

   This premier viewing spot on Phillip Island features an ocean‑front boardwalk built along the cliff face. Strolling along it, you can immerse yourself in sweeping panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and jagged coastal rock formations, with sea breezes refreshing your weariness. It is an ideal rest stop after hiking to soothe sore legs. Soak in the wild coastal scenery and discover lesser‑known breathtaking ocean‑view photo spots.

4. Cowes

   This trendy main town on Phillip Island offers an extended free‑time stop with no rushed schedules. Guests can wander along soft sandy beaches, visit boutique local shops, sample coastal‑style light meals and stock‑up on snacks. Immerse yourself in the laid‑back vibe of an Australian seaside town, with sightseeing, dining, photography and rest all conveniently available in one place.

5. Phillip Island

   Commonly known as Penguin Island, Phillip Island lies roughly 130‑140 km southeast of Melbourne in Victoria, connected to the mainland at San Remo by a short bridge, with no ferry required. It takes around 1.5‑2 hours to drive from Melbourne CBD, making it one of Australia’s most beloved day‑trip and weekend coastal getaways. Covering about 101 square kilometres, the island boasts rugged cliff‑formed coastlines, windswept grasslands, sweeping ocean views and charming seaside townships including Cowes and Newhaven. It sits within the Bass Strait, where wild southern ocean swells shape its dramatic shoreline.
