Mekong Delta River - small group tour

Had a great day on this tour. Our guide Beo was informative and the day was well run. Nice small group of 9 and mini bus was comfortable. The only thing that could be improved would be to inform guests at lunch that drinks are not included.

a good information trip with a funny guide

We were there with more than 10 people.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the high rate review! We’re truly sorry that your group had 11 guests that day. Occasionally, when several small bookings—such as groups of 3 or 5—come together, the total can unfortunately go slightly over our usual 10-person limit. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and hope you still enjoyed your Mekong Delta experience with us!

    Wonderful Mekong Delta Experience

We had a wonderful day visiting Vinh Trang Pagoda, My Tho and Ben Tre. The boat trips through the canals, the coconut candy workshop, the local fruits and the peaceful countryside made this tour a memorable experience. A special thanks to Jacky Hieu, our guide. Speaking Vietnamese, English and French fluently, he was knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to answer our questions. His enthusiasm and kindness made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended! Merci Jacky, grâce à vous cette journée dans le delta du Mékong restera un très beau souvenir du Vietnam

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the less crowded experience at Ben Duoc and the small group setting. It’s great to know you appreciated the more authentic side of Cu Chi. Hope to see you again soon in Vietnam! ✨

Rich history and fun experience on water.

Mr. Troung or “Tru” was so good!! He is well versed with the Mekong region as his family is from here. He was the perfect guide. His knowledge of the region was a mixture of history and personal experience. We had a small group and we all got along well and enjoyed talking to each other. The experience itself was wonderful. It could be a little touristy-but that didn’t bother us. We had a tight schedule where we only had a day to explore. It’s a great tour if you have one day-otherwise, I’d recommend going for. Two day tour where you actually stay over night in the region and go further into the Mekong to experience the floating market. But this tour was special because our tour guide was really exceptional. We started off with a tour of the local pogada and huge reclining Buddha. And then we went to the port where we met our captain and boat for the day. The day of the tour, it was more hot than usual in Vietnam. We saw a person who needed a little extra care and Troung was on it. He was compassionate and helpful. He asked us as a group if we were all comfortable throughout the tour and made sure we were all comfortable. We had so much fun! We were served a tasty lunch and a peaceful row down the river with smiling villagers. We also had a bike ride through the village and liked the alligators and snakes they had in the village. It was a lot of fun experiencing the tour and learning about the history of the region.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your time with us. Especially your kind words on our services. We tell ourselves each day that we have to satisfy those customers whom came with us far or near not just the benefit but to the trust that they had spent here in view of millions of operators that are offering the same. Our itinerary is set based on our experience about the land and the joys of traveling so that we would like to bring the new feelings and new expectations. We wish you health and we would like to welcome you and your friends back here sooner than most.

Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.

How much does Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10) cost?

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10) take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.

Is Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 353 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10)?

    +

Around 124 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mekong Delta Small Group Tour with Vinh Trang Pagoda (Max 10) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
