Best wine tour in South Australia

Bespoke wine tour experience. Steve our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Took us to wineries we would not have found ourselves where the owners offered us a great selection of wines. Looking forward to our next trip with Steve.

Excellent and would highly recommend them

We did a wine tour of the McLaren Vale region with friends down from Queensland and had Tim as our driver for the day, probably one of the if not best wine tours we have done, Tim was fantastic as a driver and his knowledge of the region was excellent, nothing was to hard, we visited some great boutique wineries which they had planned, had a great lunch platter at Richard Hamilton winery which was all organised, the Mercedes van was very comfortable and luxurious, I would highly recommend Cellar door tours and will be using them for future wine tours, our friends from Queensland were very impressed and made it a great day, regards Richard Resnais

Response from the operator: Hi Richard, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed glowing review! We agree...Tim is an excellent guide and like all of us really enjoys showing showing our guests around Adelaide's beautiful wine regions! We hope to show you another region another time! All the best Steve

Exceptionally good wine tour.

Best wine tour that my wife and I have ever done 👍🏻 Despite having other last minute cancellations Steve did not cancel on us & turned up perfectly on time at our hotel. We were taken around four different, bespoke, small producer vineyards in McLaren Vale and had a gorgeous lunch at one of them. He even took us to see others that were not on our tour today but are popular sites. Steve was pleasant, engaging and informative at all times, and it was apparent that he cares deeply about both his customers and the wineries / Cellar Doors that he brought us to. The minibus we were is was spotless, his driving was safe and bottled water was supplied. It was obvious this was not just a chore for him & he has, and shared, a wealth of knowledge about wine, wine making, the respective places we visited & the greater Adelaide area as well as McLaren Vale where we had asked to go. Those wineries also helped in making this a perfect day & experience.

Response from the operator: Hi BarryM9, .....wow what a glowing review...almost embarrassing! Yes we do try to accommodate all requests for our guests, whilst working very closely with all the wineries in each region! Thanks for taking the time to write a review and come again anytime! Regards, S

McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.

How much does McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $269 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.

Is McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour view d'Arenberg Cube inc lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Adelaide?

+

On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Adelaide?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Adelaide?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
