Beautiful locations but missed all of the info

I was the only person on the tour that did not speak spanish, even though I signed up for an english tour. I missed all of the history because i was getting frustrated constantly asking for the guide to repeat it in english and they seemed frustrated that they needed to repeat it for me. I did go with a friend that spoke spanish but wasn't able to sit with them because the bus was too full.

Incredible Mayan Ruins

The mayan ruins portion of the tour was the best as we learned so much and had an excellent tour guide Afren was how you said his name phonetically. However, the Cenote was a disappointment. The picture they show is NOT the cenote we went to. I was looking forward to a waterfall and being outside and that is NOT where we were taken. We had to descend many steps downward into a cave in order to swim in the cenote. The lunch was delicious and very special because it was locally made and served. We decided not to go to the Paradise Island because the Sargassum was very bad at the beach so we skipped that portion. Be prepared for VERY hot weather when going to the ruins along with bug spray!

Don’t believe what you read

Make sure you double check the itinerary before confirming the trip. Just because it’s listed on Viator under “what to expect”, doesn’t mean you should expect it. I booked this trip hoping to see one thing and when I got on the bus, they told me that it wasn’t part of the itinerary (even though it was listed as the first stop). I actually had planned my vacation around this tour - and never got to see what I wanted. I should have booked another.

A great time!

We enjoyed our tour. They arrived at our resort 30 minutes early and waited for us. Roberto, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the Mayan Ruins we visited and was very entertaining. We appreciated him being so eager to share his culture with us and we enjoyed the other families we got to know on this adventure!

Not worth it

The guides did not give you much information in English. If you know Spanish, they will talk to you about everything. Our tour ended up being 14 hours because people wouldn’t show up on time and then our bus driver left us at a stop sign for 15 mins and ran to a store. He said “stay right here” The tulum sign is on the side of a highway and we never got to see the Mother Nature statuses made of wood. You spend more time on the bus then actually exploring

Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $76 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mayan Riviera Tulum Coba 5x1 Adventure With Lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

+

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
