Rich historical and cultural tour
The North Island Tour was a fantastic way to explore the diverse culture and beauty of Mauritius. We visited a beautiful church, a peaceful temple, the vibrant Port Louis Market, and even had the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim at a waterfall. Our guide Jenny was so well organized, approachable, and made the experience both informative and enjoyable. The tour was well paced, allowing plenty of time to explore each stop, take photos, and soak up the atmosphere without feeling rushed. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mauritius—it's a wonderful mix of culture, history, local life, and natural beauty.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the North Island Tour and had the opportunity to experience the many different sides of Mauritius — from our rich culture and history to local life and the beauty of our natural landscapes. Mauritius is so much more than just beautiful beaches, and it’s always our goal to help guests discover the stories, traditions, and hidden gems that make our island unique. We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful moments at the cultural sites, the energy of Port Louis Market, and the refreshing waterfall swim! Thank you as well for your kind words about your experience with Jenny. Creating a relaxed, informative, and well-paced journey is very important to us, so we’re happy to hear that you felt comfortable taking the time to explore, enjoy the surroundings, and make memories along the way. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to welcome you back one day to discover even more of Mauritius beyond the usual tourist trail. Thank you again for choosing Mauritius Tours! A trip round the North
Our North tour was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our day out with our guide, Krishna. We originally booked on the wild tour but asked if we could replace the hike with another activity as we'd been struggling with the heat since we arrived and Jenny was more than accommodating. She arranged for us to swap to the North Island tour and we got to visit the Red Roof Church, a Tamil Temple and the markets in Port Louis instead which we found really interesting and Krishna was very knowledgeable on the culture and way of life in the area. Overall it was a great day out and we recommend it to anyone
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this lovely review and for being so open with us about what would work best for you! 😊 That flexibility is something we really care about at Mauritius Adventours. Every guest is different, and we'd much rather tailor the experience so you come away having truly enjoyed your day than stick rigidly to a plan. Krishna will be really pleased to read this! The Red Roof Church, the Tamil Temple, the buzz of the Port Louis markets (that part of the island has so much cultural richness to offer), and having a guide who can bring it all to life makes such a difference. 🕌🏛️ Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It means a lot to the whole team. We hope to see you back on the island someday! 🇲🇺
