Amazing day with Jay

We have just returned from an amazing 14 night holiday in Belle Mare. I did alot of research before we arrived to find a reputable company for a few trips. It started off as a minefield, any requests for recommendations on social media were met with companies touting for business which always puts me off. However through my own research I stumbled across Mauritius Adventours . It was their high review scores that stood out for me. From the beginning answering my WhatsApp messages they came across as being very professional. We booked the Central Wilderness tour and paid via Pay Pal. Their contact throughout was very good and they kept an eye on the weather to make sure our day was special. We also climbed the highest peak in Mauritius after the waterfall hike and on both trips we were followed by a drone with Jay at the controls. This was something we decided to book as one of their optional extras. Jenny asked for photos of our footwear before we left the UK to make sure it was adequate and when we were on the trip it totally made sense why she did as some of the rocks can be very slippery so her attention to health and safety was much appreciated. We stopped off for a lovely lunch in a small Mauritian cafe that served delicious traditional food before we set off for part two, The mountain hike. The drone package was really worth the extra cost. You cannot appreciate the amazing scenery around you from photos like you can when the drone pans out. We are so glad we have the amazing footage Jay took to keep and share with friends and family. It certainly was a memorable day and we are so glad we did the research and found Mauritius Adventours

Response from the operator: Hello Sean Taylor and Hazel, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are very happy to hear that the Central Wilderness tour and Top of Mauritius tour were highlights of your holiday. Thank you also for mentioning our safety checks and communication. Preparing our travellers properly is important to us, and it is great to know it made a difference. Thank you again for choosing Mauritius Adventours after all your research. It was a pleasure to guide you and we hope to welcome you back on your next visit. Jay and the team at Mauritius Adventours

A wonderful hiking adventure with spectacular scenery

Last week my son and I had the pleasure of going on Mauritius Adventours' Central Wilderness Tour. It was a fantastic day out with our guides Jenny and Nitish from start to finish. We hiked four of the seven Tamarind waterfalls and even had a swim in one of them. The views of the National Park were spectacular. It was then on to a lovely local lunch, before a walk in the National Arboretum (which included a talk on plants from the head gardener). We then finished at the Grand Bassin Temple and Volcanic Lake with it's spectacular sacred statues. Jenny and Nitish's expertise and local knowledge was first class, as was their company. The photos and videos they took for us to remember the day were wonderful and greatly appreciated too. Jenny's communication before the tour was also brilliant. Thank you Mauritius Adventours for a great day out!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this beautiful review. We loved having you both on this tour. You clearly truly appreciate and enjoy being in the wilderness. Wishing you both more adventures in the outdoors. Keep on hiking!

How many days do you need in Port Louis?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
