GREAT TOURS
The Tour Guide was extremely good and entertaining and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is to let people know before booking how much walking up and down steps it involves, it is hard going if you are not fit or have health or other problems - otherwise is was a fantastic day out with a great Guide, thank you Budget Georgia

Bad Weather but Good experience
Our tour today was raining and the weather was not good. That's why I get 4 stars for Canyon Cave. Because we didn't get to do the boat ride because of the weather but the service is five stars, our guide Luka was kind and the driver I forget the name. I always travel solo but I choose group tours because you get to know different people. I highly recommend Budget Georgia. I also saw it on the tiktok of my Filipino compatriot who went to Georgia so I found out about it. Thank you also Leonora and Vika for Good Responds. ☺️🙂

Refreshing adventure with a great guide
I joined a group tour for Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon from Kutaisi as a solo traveler on 17/02/25. The entire tour was such a fresh, interesting and enlightening experience. Such a cool excursion in every sense — both the stunning destinations and the enjoyable tour made the cold weather easier to handle. — We went to Prometheus Cave first, entry started at 1pm. We spent an hour exploring the cave. The cave and the rock formations were magnificent. It required a lot of walking, most of it through stairs to venture deeper into the cave, so you’d need a lot of energy and comfy shoes. There was also a light show with music towards the end which was marvellous and soothing. Through out our walk, the tour guide, Lasha, was brilliant and explained a lot about the minerals/formations, the historical significance behind the cave, and the notable figures associated with the place. It was a very informative and learning-filled experience. It gave me a newfound admiration for how fascinating caves are! The next stop was Martvili Canyon, we arrived around 3pm. This was a more refreshing/scenic outing. We got options to ride the boat, do zipline or walking tour. All the tourists chose boat ride plus walking tour. The boat ride along the water stream was nice and felt a little magical! (although kind of short?). After the boat ride, we were given free time to walk around the canyon, see the waterfalls and basically the overall nature surrounding it. It was a relaxing visit. It was cold and rained a little though, and apparently the canyon would look better in other season.. Still, had a nice time. We then had lunch at a restaurant near the canyon and arrived back in Kutaisi at 6 PM. Overall, the tour was executed smoothly, led by our guide, Lasha, who was knowledgeable and friendly. We even learned trivia and general information about Georgia from him, even though it wasn’t directly related to the trip, which was helpful for tourists. Also, despite the fact that I booked this rushed, like the night before the tour itself, the operator was responsive. When I visit Georgia again, I will definitely book a tour with Budget Georgia again, to discover more places as well. (P.S. During the day of the trip. I informed them I was going to be a little late due to transportation, and the tour guide assured me that they will wait with the driver for me. I truly appreciate that. Very accommodating company.)

Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canton Tour
We had an unforgettable day exploring Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon on December 1, 2024, and our experience was made even more exceptional thanks to Luka, our incredible tour guide. Luka is a true professional – he’s not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and accommodating, sharing the fascinating history of both the cave and the canyon in a way that made the tour both engaging and informative. His enthusiasm really enhanced the experience, and we appreciated how he made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the day. A special thank you also goes to our driver, Valerie, who ensured a smooth and comfortable journey from Batumi to Kutaisi and back. We felt safe and relaxed the entire time, and Valerie’s hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to our tour. Additionally, we'd like to express our gratitude to Giorgi, Leonora, and the entire team at Budget Georgia for their excellent communication leading up to our tour. We received timely updates and reminders, which made the whole process seamless and stress-free. Both Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon are stunning, and this tour exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Georgia’s natural beauty with fantastic guidance and top-notch service. Thank you again to everyone who made this experience so memorable!

Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kutaisi.
How much does Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi cost?
+
Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kutaisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kutaisi is not rushed.
Is Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kutaisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kutaisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kutaisi and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave Group Tour from Kutaisi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kutaisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kutaisi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kutaisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include CANYONS & CAVE Tour from Kutaisi - Okatse, Martvili & Prometheus, Kutaisi:Chiatura Tour with Katskhi Pillar & Cable Car Experience, From Kutaisi: Martvili & Okatse Canyons & Cave Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kutaisi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kutaisi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
