Scary and traumatic
Absolutely horrible experience. Worst excursion, we've ever done. The few parts of the city we did see, were filthy with graffiti everywhere. Then we got caught in student protests and we were actually scared and concerned for our safety. After being stuck for nearly 30 minutes the bus driver slowly inched his way through the crowd. Everyone decided after that experience to take us back to the ship. We missed half the tour but at that point we were just glad to get back. Never again!!!

Following the disruption, the decision to return to the cruise ship was made in response to the group’s wishes. Our team respected that decision, even though it meant being unable to complete the planned itinerary. Regarding your comments about Marseille, while every city has its challenges, Marseille is a remarkable destination with a rich history, beautiful architecture, and unique Mediterranean culture. Unfortunately, the circumstances prevented you from fully appreciating what the city has to offer. We understand your disappointment, but we believe it is important to distinguish between the quality of a tour operator’s service and unexpected events outside its control. Our priority has always been, and will remain, the safety and well-being of our guests.

Horrible Disappointing Experience
I’d love to review this experience but the tour company was greedy for as much money as they could get so they over sold the excursion to where people were standing in the back of the bus and several of us didn’t even get on the bus. Disgusting to be treated this way after looking forward to this excursion. This tour company should be banned from selling excursions through Viator.

Disappointed
The main reason we booked this excursion was because it stated it would be going to Notre Dame. The tour guide was late and proceeded to tell us that the bus could not go there, that we would be going to another church that was just as nice. There is no comparison to the churches. We also spoke to another couple who were on another tour that the bus did go to the top. VERY Disappointed !!

Do Not Tour with Domita
Domita Tours falsely advertised!!! Instructions were to met inside the Port of Marseilles at the Seamen's building; however, we were not told prior that all 34 passengers would have to walk over a mile outside the port to access tour bus! Sophie, the tour guide was late and claimed she was at Carnival Cruise port. It was only after I called the tour company for her ETA did she come to met up point. There were passengers on canes and myself and a family member have mobility issues. This bait and switch tactic is unacceptable because had we known that long distance walking was required to the bus, I wouldn't have booked this excursion. It is obvious that this tour company does not have the required permits to access the port or will not obtain proper access requirements. Nowhere in the ticket from Viator is it stated that walking outside port is required. I will be requesting a refund! Moreover, the first stop was to a local store for passengers to use restroom and tour attractions; however, tour guide never said that we would have to make a purchase to use the facilities. The store clerk made it clear each person had to make purchase to use their restrooms. He was rude. Do Not Take This Tour with Domita Tours.

Regarding mobility concerns, we strongly encourage passengers to disclose any walking difficulties before booking so that we can explain the port’s accessibility constraints and assess suitable arrangements. As for our guide, Marseille accommodates multiple cruise ships across different terminals, which can occasionally create logistical challenges. We regret any confusion experienced during the meeting process. Regarding the restroom stop, the establishment is independently operated. We do not impose or benefit from any purchase requirements, and we regret that its staff did not provide the service you expected. We categorically reject the suggestion that our company operates without the necessary permits or intentionally misleads its customers.
