So I’ve been using Viator for decades all over the world and never a problem……. Until now. Simply put the guide didn’t turn up, so I can’t rate the tour. At the agreed meeting point half an hour before the agreed time, saw lots of other guides go off with their groups but no guide for us. I’m guessing they couldn’t be bothered just for the two of us but there was zero communication, I tried the number for the operator and they didn’t pick up. Viator were great and processed a refund rapidly but that’s not really the point - we were left high and dry. So disappointed. Still not heard anything from the operator by way of an explanation or even an apology. Not good enough
Response from the operator: Hi Sir, We are truly sorry for this experience and completely understand your frustration. What you described is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused on the day. This was the first time we have ever missed a client. We had an unusually high number of reservations, and unfortunately our guide failed to meet you at the agreed location. After what happened, we did not feel it was appropriate to contact you directly, which is why we chose to process an immediate refund rather than try to justify the situation. We fully understand your disappointment and accept full responsibility. This incident does not reflect our usual standards, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Absolutely worth it!
Wonderful experience! Omar, our guide, was helpful & knowledgeable. He explained everything & he definitely has a love for his country's food & wanted to be sure we got to try what would be a taste of Marrakech & Morocco. Selected spots to stop & sample food & tea were great. Definitely recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had a wonderful experience with Omar as your guide. It's great that his passion for Moroccan food and culture made your tour so memorable. We're glad the food and tea stops added to the experience. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back soon for more adventures in Marrakech and Morocco!

Great Experience - fun, tasty and informative!
We had a wonderful time trying various local foods. Our guide was very friendly and accommodating to our group. We had an infant and a toddler, and he even helped with the stroller! We stopped at 6 or 7 different places, most of them small snacks, and the last stop was a full meal. By the end of the tour, it was nighttime and the Medina was full of music, dancing and energy! It was quite the sight. A very memorable experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you had a fantastic time sampling the local cuisine with our guide. We're especially pleased that our guide could assist you with your infant and toddler, making your experience even more enjoyable. It sounds like you truly enjoyed the variety of stops and the lively atmosphere of the Medina at night. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and your memorable experience is the best reward for us. We look forward to welcoming you back for more unforgettable adventures!

Good Family Experience
Our tour started at the Post Office in the square where we were met by Mohamed. We were taken to a patisserie where we sampled a few of the local sweet delicacies. I felt quite full after our first stop. Second stop was in the square, it was still very hot so wasn't as comfortable as I'd liked to have been. On the whole a good tour and YaYa is very engaging, although I felt we could have been told a little more about some of the things we tasted. What kind of cheese is used, how breads have been made, how locals eat tagines, with bread, salads. Great tour for families as long as no fussy eaters. I definitely recommend this tour but arrive hungry as you will soon be full! thank you
Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Mohamed and appreciated the local sweet delicacies at the patisserie. We apologize for any discomfort caused by the heat during the second stop, and we will strive to improve this aspect. Your suggestions about providing more information on the foods tasted are invaluable, and we'll make sure to incorporate more details about the ingredients and local eating customs in future tours. We're glad you found the tour engaging and suitable for families. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again—come hungry for more delicious experiences!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Marrakech: Authentic Moroccan gastronomic tour with dinner start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, From Marrakech To Essaouira Mogador Full Day Trip | Small-group, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
