    Jose and Francisco did...

Jose and Francisco did everything they could do to make our experience memorable! They ensured we caught fish, and that we did-lots of mahi mahi! We trolled for marlin and were unsuccessful but the mahi that we caught was amazing. They filleted it on the boat, dropped us off at a local restaurant and were having it for lunch, 3 hours after we caught it. We felt safe the whole time and the boat was immaculate.

Crappy boat and to expensive shop around you can do much better !!!

First and foremost the boat is very unstable. It was a fairly calm day, 1 to 2 foot seas and the boat was rocking like it was 5 to 6 foot. I actually got sick I never get sick. The diesel smell is horrible and I think that’s what really got me sick on top of the rocking and rolling to add insult to injury when I got off the boat there were several other more modern bigger boats so I asked what their price was and they only charge $550 for a half a day I feel I got taken advantage of and I will never recommend these people again.

Terrible all around on a beautiful day

If I could give negative stars I would. First it was Not the boat in the pictures, and the first mate not to great at keeping it interactive for the guests and basically couldn't communicate with us due to language barrier. If i had of went alone i would have sit in silence for the 6hours as they did nothing to educate us or teach us techniques.I understand it's fishing not catching, but if there are no bites why are we not changing things up in the 6hrs out. Overall worst charter I have been on and I have done 10 in the last 7 years. Trolling fish across the top of the sea with no deep lines or down rigging. Just lost by this whole concept and feel like i could have rented a boat and done better with my limited knowledge of the area and my knowledge of fishing. I would highly NOT RECOMMEND using this team and going elsewhere. We booked on fishingbooker.com

Response from the operator: Sorry Sir wrong company, we do not provide this services, you use a third party booking company and its no way how we can control that . Next time book directly to Viator our company or contact us direct .

    Great fishing!

EXCELLENT fishing experience. Jose & Kevin were great. Good time fishing, caught 2 marlin, 2 larger Dorado and a barracuda. Would recommend these guys for a fishing trip any time!

    Fantastic Fishing

Kelvin and Andres worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and get us on the fish. We caught two Marlin a King Mackerel and two Mahi-mahi. They filleted the fish and we took some to a restaurant. Make sure you bring sunscreen and motion sickness medicine. I would recommend Marlin fever to anyone who wants to catch big fish.

Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter cost?

    +

Prices start at $550 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Marlin Fever at Marina Cap Cana -Private Sportfishing Charter start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
