Caponata Heaven
One of the best experiences on our Sicily trip, hands down. Patrizia has been a very knowledgeable guide, authentic and passionate about the art of Sicilian cuisine. You will learn much more than just cooking a meal. Highly recommend it!
Response from the operator: What to say? Thank you David, I deeply feel grateful and happy for your comment. Grazie ny my heart Patrizia

Highlight of our trip!
We recently had a private cooking class with Patrizia. She was warm and welcoming from our first meeting in the piazza. She first took us to some shops near her home to buy ingredients for our class. We then cooked with her in her cozy loft and made the most delicious dishes. Patrizia is very knowledgeable and talented on all things wine, food and Sicilian. We definitely feel as if we have made a new friend in Sicily.
Response from the operator: Hi Julies and sorry for my delayed answer! Thanks for your bellissima review and hope to meet you again in Palermo. Patrizia

Great experience. Patrizia was a wonderful guide and host. All the meals we made and tasted were delicious. A experience we would gladly do again. Highly recommend both the cooking class and private chef/dinner options if you visit Palermo.
Response from the operator: What nice musique you make! Grazie, if you come back to Sicily, please let us know! Patrizia

Met as friends and left as la familia
Patrizia, thank you for such a special day. I had so much fun prepping and cooking with you, learning your special techniques and sharing our love of art and dishes. I look forward to visiting you in your special kitchen in the near future. ....On the sixth day, God accomplished His work And, pleased with all the beauty He had created, He took the Earth in His hands, And kissed it. There, where He put His lips, That's Sicily. ---Renzino Barbera, Artist, Poet Clare Capistrano Beach, CA
Response from the operator: Dear Claire, it has been Bellissimo to have hosted you and cooked together. You are a special person an I am glad to have met you in my house. Cooking is a chance to know new ways and hearts. Thanks so much Patrizia

Wonderful experience
Patrizia is so special. When someone loves their work as much as Patrizia the classes, shopping for food and touring Palermo becomes a special event. Three days in Palermo covered a whole world of Sicilian food. But more important a special friendship with Patrizia. Loved your class and your enthusiasm. Don't miss!!
Response from the operator: Dear Ashley, it was a pleasure for me to share my time and expercince with you. So much fun and passion in what we did together. Best regards Patrizia

Market tour and Private Cooking Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Palermo.
How much does Market tour and Private Cooking Class cost?
+
Prices start at $596 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Palermo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Market tour and Private Cooking Class take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Palermo is not rushed.
Is Market tour and Private Cooking Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Palermo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Market tour and Private Cooking Class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Market tour and Private Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Market tour and Private Cooking Class?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Palermo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Palermo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Market tour and Private Cooking Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Palermo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Palermo?
+
On Outty we rank every Palermo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Palermo Pizza and Gelato Cooking Class with Meal and Wine, Palermo Food Tour: 10+ Tastings of Arancini, Cannoli, Wine & More, The Original Palermo Street Food & Market Tour (All-Inclusive!). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Palermo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Palermo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Market tour and Private Cooking Class?
+
Included: certificate signed by the chef; Bottled water; Alcoholic beverages; Wine tasting; and Port pickup. Not included: Excess luggage charges (where applicable); Airport and departure taxes; and Cookbook, merchandise. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

+
