Outstanding experience in Athens.
This was the best cooking class I’ve ever taken. Very hands on, great menu options, and love the fresh and local ingredients. I learned several techniques that I’d like to try at home.

Great Cooking Class!!!!!
This was an amazing class. The chef/hostess, Dionysia, and her husband, Costa, were friendly and welcoming and made us feel immediately at home. We easily learned the different techniques and recipes all while having so much fun. Even my husband, who cannot cook at all, enjoyed learning how to roll filo, make bread, and stuff pastry. This was the best thing we did while in Athens! I cannot speak more highly of the experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful words! 💙 It makes me so happy to hear that you both enjoyed the class and felt at home with us. Rolling phyllo and baking together is always more fun when shared with such lovely people! I’ll make sure to tell Kostas how much you appreciated his warm hospitality too. Wishing you many delicious memories from Greece — and I hope our paths cross again one day! Warm regards, Dionysia

Fun and Delicious
One of our favorite activities and most delicious meals during our time in Greece. What a lovely morning we spent and would highly recommend for any type of group!

A Must Do if you Like to Cook!
We had an amazing experience with Dionysia! We were a family of four, parents with 2 adult children in the early 20s. We did the private class that started by shopping at the market. We all enjoyed seeing the variety of shops and learning about how Greeks shop. There were many more stores than we noticed initially. Then, we returned to their location to make our Moussaka. Dionysia was informative and a great host. She provided great instruction and had tasks for each of us. Not only did we make the moussaka, we also made tzatziki, bread and dessert. It was four hours of fun and learning. We would definitely do this again with her if we head back to Athens! It was one of our favorite activities during our 10-days in Greece. We would highly recommend it!!!

Incredible memory from our visit to Greece
This was our second cooking experience with Dionysia- our first was in 2019, and was one of our best memories from our trip to Greece. We kept all the recipes and cooked them often for friends and family. When I booked our second trip to Athens, the first thing I did was was contact Dionysia for another experience and we had the best time learning new recipes and catching up with her and her sweet family. The meals we cooked were truly the most delicious and memorable of both our trips and captured the beautiful hospitality of Greece and the incredible freshness and flavor of Greek produce and food. Truly you should not miss this authentic and special experience while in Athens!

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka cost?
+
Prices start at $154 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Market-to-Table Adventure: Private-Yemista or Mousaka start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
