What you'll see and do

  1. Putra Mosque

Facing the scenic Putrajaya Lake, the Putra Mosque is arguably Putrajaya's most distinctive landmark and one of the most modern mosques in the world. A showcase of how mosque designs have evolved in Malaysia, Putra Mosque's Islamic-architecture artistically blends traditional designs, local craftsmanship and the use of indigenous materials. The mosque is modeled after Persian Islamic architecture of the Safavid period with elements derived from other Muslim cultures. Incorporating Malaysian, Persian and Arab-Islamic architectural designs, the main entrance to the mosque is fashioned in the likeness of public building gates in Muslim Persia.

Christ Church built by the Dutch when they took possession of Malacca from the Portuguese, it's one of Malacca’s most defining structures. Situated along Jalan Gereja (also known as Church Street) it is an instantly recognizable brick-red building with a huge white cross at the top. Sitting opposite the Stadhuys, Christ Church was built in 1753 to celebrate a century of Dutch occupation. The interior of the cathedral has 20-year-old handmade pews, decorative fanlights and plaques that honor Dutch soldiers and locals.

  4. St. Paul's Hill & Church (Bukit St. Paul)

The ruins of St. Paul’s Church are at the summit of St. Paul's Hill. Built on the site of the last Malaccan sultan’s Istana (palace), it was constructed by Portuguese fidalgo (nobleman) captain, Duarte Coelho, in gratitude to the Virgin Mary for saving his life during a storm at sea. Roofless and covered in ferns, it was originally called the Nossa Senhora da Annunciada (Our Lady of the Annunciation). Though it has been in ruins for more than 150 years, it is a beautiful, breezy sanctuary (reached after a steep flight of stairs) set near the remains of A’ Famosa Fort.

The Malacca Straits Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia. It is also known as Masjid Selat Melaka as it is located on the busiest and longest straits. The opening ceremony was done by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail on 24 November 2006. The driveway scenery was breathtaking as you get to see the full coast of Malacca city.

Best guide Mugilan👍

I had such a great holiday thanks to Mugilan. He was a wonderful guide who made so much effort to take good pictures in such a hot weather. I got so many good pics that I bombarded my Instagram story instantly with pics taken in Melaka. He was also very knowledgeable on KL culture and history, all the info he told me were very interesting and hleped me understand Malaysian culture. It was a long ride to Melaka, so we started the tour earlier than planned, and that was the best choice👌 I got to go to Putrajaya Mosque first and then to Melaka. Did not experience that much traffic jam when going there. However, there was huge traffic jam when returning to KL. Mugilan let me turn on the songs I preferred while driving, so it was not a boring ride. Talking and listening to the music.. it was such a comfortable ride back. I strongly recommend you to ask for Mugilan if you don't want to miss the culture and also great pics in Melaka.

Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and wonderful review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable holiday with Mugilan. He will be so happy to know that his efforts—especially taking great photos in the heat—made your experience even more special (and Instagram-worthy too! 📸✨). It’s great to hear that you enjoyed learning about Kuala Lumpur’s culture and history, and that the adjusted schedule helped you make the most of your day with visits to Putrajaya and Melaka. We’re also glad that even the long journey felt comfortable and enjoyable with music and good conversation along the way. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us, and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Mugilan. We hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable adventure soon! 😊

Great experience

We went on this tour today as a family of three and really enjoyed our time exploring Malacca. Janice was a great guide who shared lots of interesting cultural information at just the right moments, patiently answered all of our questions, and gave us some useful suggestions on places to visit while staying in Putrajaya. We would definitely recommend this tour—just don’t forget to wear really comfortable shoes, as there’s a lot of walking!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the lovely review! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed exploring Malacca with Janice. She’ll be thrilled to know her insights and recommendations made your experience even better. And great tip about the comfortable shoes! We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon. Warm regards, ForeverVacation Team 🌸

Great day exploring Malacca

Would highly recommend ForeverVacation and the Malacca Instagram Tour. We took the private tour for just the two of us as it provide a more intimate experience. Our driver and guide, Chen, was fantastic, very polite, attentive, and informative, as well as a safe driver. Our air-conditioned car was clean, tidy, modern and very comfortable for the journey. All-in-all a great day. Thanks Chen and the ForeverVacation team.

Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.

How much does Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive) cost?

+

Prices start at $122 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive) take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.

Is Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive) suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive)?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Malacca Instagram Tour: Most Famous Spots (Private & All-Inclusive) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
