Work under the Guidance of an Artisan

This workshop provided hands-on creativity with an artisan as well as a person who spoke English and facilitated the process. The artisan was supportive, encouraging and provided instruction and guidance throughout the workshop. I recommend having a design ready so the workshop time can be spent on the maki-e process. I enjoyed the process, learning about this craft and creating a finished product. I highly recommend this workshop.

Response from the operator: Dear Michele, thank you so much for your kind review, we’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the workshop and we truly appreciate your recommendation. It was a pleasure for us to meet you and learn a bit about Hawaii as well. We hope to welcome you again someday!
