About this experience
Less than an hour away from Madrid, you can discover the glorious days of the Spanish Empire. Its capital, the city of Toledo, served as a cultural and spiritual location for Jews, Muslims and Christians who lived in coexistence. The tour will take you on a journey back in time to the 15th century, and most notably for the year graved in the history books as a year in which three world-changing events took place: the expulsion of Spanish Jews, the end of the Muslim conquest (Reconquista) and the discovery of America by Columbus, that made Spain an empire in which the sun always shines. As part of the tour, we will enter the city through the Ancient City walls, overlook the longest river in Spain (Tajo), visit the synagogues, the Gothic Cathedral and learn what is left from all the different religions and cultures before the Spanish Expulsion.

Horror show and disappointment
The tour did not even happen. We waited in the exact location defined and we even clicked on the link to make sure we are in the right place and no one showed up. We called the number and it was disconnected. Asked for a refund and still have not heard anything from trip advisor two days after the event supposed to have taken place. We had to book our own trip to Toledo and we made the most of it. Trip advisor, if you read this , I need my money back as soon as possible 🫤

Frivolous cancellations insufferable
Canceled on me. I don’t care how great the reviews are. Frivolous cancellations are disrespectful and adversely affect got the public views these tours
Response from the operator: We are really sorry we had to cancel your tour. The reservation was cancel at the same moment that it was made. We did not had the minimum amount of people required for the tour to take place. For us, specially in Covid times where tourism has suffered so much is hard and sad to cancel a tour, nevertheless we can’t afford to take tours (specially this one that has a lot of expenses) when we don’t have enough clients. Hope you understand the difficult moment little companies like us are facing with this pandemic. We will be more than happy to take you with us in any other tour inside of madrid. Hope you have a pleasant trip in this beautiful city that we are proud to call our home! -The City Secreto Team

Trips that i will remember for a very very long time.
I went on 2 half- days trips: one day from madrid to toledo, one day from madrid to sagovia. I cherished those trips since 9.18 till today more then 2 years from then. Sharon was fantastic at any aspect, the tours were very beautiful, enriching, and touching. I recommend this company from all my heart.

Amazing and fun service!!!
Colon Tours were amazing, I took 3 of their tours - a tour of Toledo, a bar tour, a culinary tour ... it was amazing! The guides are full of interesting information and beyond that are full of joy that made the experience even more fun! And for every question I asked unrelated to the tours I was given guidance and tips with lots of caring and a desire to help. Colon Tours has definitely upgraded my experience in Madrid!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $212 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Magical Toledo - Half Day Trip from Madrid with culinary tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
