Great afternoon in Madrid!
We had a fabulous tour with Ignacio. Due to issues with the palace being closed, he discussed with us cancelling or pivoting to a slightly different experience. We chose to pivot and had an amazing tour of the old city, cathedral and palace museum and park. Ignacio is super knowledgeable about his city and it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with him!
Response from the operator: Muchísimas gracias!!

Great Tour With Leticia
Leticia was an excellent, friendly guide. She was able to get us into a quick side tour that was unscheduled but much appreciated. Her knowledge of the cathedral was impressive, but was eclipsed by her understanding of every little detail in the palace. Highly recommend thia tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much!! Hope to see you back soon!

Awful experience in Madrid
we had hoped that this tour would be great since it was our last day in Madrid. It turned into a nightmare. The same tour guide who was awful the day before, showed up to take us on the tour. Since he had a driver this time we thought ok he got the review and realized he needed a driver. We went to gardens and the palace and it was great. Then we walked out of the palace going across the courtyard toward the catherdral. It was at this point that he read the day before's review. He started verbably abusing me calling me a liar telling me im ruining his job. He was doing this in front of our group and the hunderds others in the courtyard. I told to stop and walked away. He followed and continued to berate me. I told him the tour was done and just take us back to the hotel. He said the tour didnt included return transportation only pick up. This was not true. Other members of our group got involved and in spanish told him to just stop. He finally called our ride and we were taken back to the hotel. I have never ever encountered something like this with Viator and I dont blame them at all. Im just hoping no one else encounters what our group did. I was literally shaking i was so upset
Response from the operator: You must be mistaken thos tour with somebody's elses tour, we never have meet you before, sorry you had that experience but it was not in our tour definitely.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup cost?
+
Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Madrid: VIP Royal Palace & Cathedral with tickets & hotel pickup start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
