    Terrible experience

Terrible experience, overpriced, the operator himself had no idea about the tour. After waiting 40 min with no seating and barely any acknowledgment from the host a tuna assortment was dropped off in front of us and no explanation was given as to what we were given. The actual tuna was mediocre and we had no sauces or any accompaniments besides the tuna itself. Overall extremely disappointment.

Response from the operator: Dear Olga, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we’re truly sorry that your experience wasn’t what you had hoped for. At our tasting, we focus on offering a minimalist and authentic presentation of the prized Almadraba bluefin tuna, allowing guests to fully appreciate its flavor without heavy sauces or distractions — this is a deliberate culinary choice, not a lack of preparation. That said, we understand this may not be to everyone’s taste and are always happy to explain this approach in advance when asked. Regarding your arrival: it’s possible there was a misunderstanding with the starting time, which may have led to the wait. We do our best to begin promptly and accommodate everyone comfortably, although sometimes seating may be limited in our more intimate location — we apologize if that caused discomfort. We’d genuinely love the opportunity to welcome you back and offer the experience as it is truly meant to be enjoyed. We are proud of the quality of our product and of the many guests who leave delighted. Warm regards,

    Whoever runs this never...

Whoever runs this never showed up. I went to the counter and showed them the reservation and they still gave me everything for the tasting. The food was great, but the organization was lacking. No communication took place.

    Great experience!

An outstanding experience tasting various cuts of blue fin tuna! Manuel explained everything very well. It was awesome to have a reserved spot in this busy market to taste and to people watch. Very generous pour of good wine to go with the tuna. Highly recommend for something different to do, especially if you love tuna!

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Madrid?

    +

On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Madrid?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Madrid?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
