We drive on the A-3 highway from Madrid and get off in the beautiful Las Vegas Valley only 35 minutes from Madrid city center. The valley is referred to as "Madrid´s Tuscany", lined with rolling hills full of ancient olive trees and vineyards. This area was known as Madrid´s breadbasket, supplying it will all its fruits and vegetables in the bygone years. We stop for a short-walk next to the pre-historic caves named "Risco de las Cuevas", and also referred to "Madrid´s Cappadocia". We then visit the restored communal laundry room where villagers used to do their laundry by hand - a fascinating relic before Spain´s industrialization.

Inside we tour the restored hydroelectric plant and private museum which tells us the story of the "Miracle Waters" that were exported all over the world in the millions of bottles by entrepreneur Jacinto Chavarri. We continue on a walk to the abandoned resort in our hidden valley, passing by the estate´s vineyards. On the waking tour (light hike of about one hour) we visit the wells of the "miracle water" and the now abandoned facilities of the former thermal springs resort. Great Olive Oil Experience
We absolutely loved this tour. We chose this tour for the olive oil tasting and for the paella lunch. Roy. the property owner, provided the best experience showing us his family’s property and telling us the history of the area. We highly recommend this tour if you’re in the Madrid area.
Response from the operator: Dear Gregory many thanks and glad you and the group enjoyed your time in Madrid! All the best to you

O-live out of the box experience
This was our first trip to Madrid and we loved this trip with Mr. Roy he has explained so well each and everything about the visit to the olive oil factory and I feel many people would not know about this trip, and out of the world experience.
Response from the operator: Dear Raj, was truly a wonderful day spent with you and your wife. Hope to stay in touch!

We had an absolutely...
We had an absolutely wonderful time with our guide,Roy. The tour was filled with awesome moments: the winery tour, the walk around the town, lunch, and the drive through the property with beautiful views and wildlife. Visiting a big city like Madrid can feel overwhelming and an excursion to see a quaint and quiet part of the countryside creates a relaxing break. We highly recommend this tour and thanks again to Roy for all he did to make it so special.
Response from the operator: Was a great pleasure hosting you, and glad we were able to give you a glimpse into rural Madrid and the virtues of the Mediterranean countryside. Hope to see you again!

A true view of Spanish culture.
This far exceeded our expectations. We certainly didn’t expect a personal tour for my wife and I, but that’s exactly what we got. It was the perfect level of activity for both of us and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the countryside. The bikes were a great touch. Roy was an incredible host. He catered to our interests as much as possible (olive oil production co-op, caves, etc) and Carlos was a joy to be around as well. The meal was fantastic, although enough to feed an army. The salad (many of the ingredients from their garden), figs, melon, seafood Paella, and wine was nothing but exquisite. The tour of their property, future plans and some of the unexpected road blocks they were running into was very enlightening. I would highly recommend this tour!!
Response from the operator: Jerry, thanks for the generous review. We truly enjoyed hosting you and your wife—the day flowed naturally and your curiosity made it a pleasure. It means a lot to hear the experience matched what you were hoping for. If you’re back in Madrid, we’d be delighted to welcome you again—olive harvest season is especially special out here. Safe travels, and thanks again for the recommendation.

Fabulous villa near Ronda.
We had a fabulous 2 week stay at Finca Maridadi, just outside of the town of Ronda. The villa is magnificent, with more than enough room for the 6 of us. The weather was still warm and we spent all of our time outdoors at the pool and eating outside under the covered patio. We didn't use any of the lovely sitting rooms inside, except for the very well equipped kitchen. Lawrence Williamson was fabulous; making bookings at local restaurants for us, giving us ideas on interesting day trips and generally making sure we had everything we needed.. The pictures on the website tell it how it is. We travel in various parts of the world usually renting villas and this is one of the best we have ever had.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Madrid Olive Oil Experience: Mill Tour, Tasting & Country Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
