Review
1/8/2026 Gwen and myself enjoyed a wonderful tour from Patricia Morcillo on Wednesday, January 7th. Her wealth of knowledge included Sol, The Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, and much more. For nearly 3 hours we journeyed through the most important historics in Madrid. I’m confident that we learned a lot more because of the Tour from Patricia than previously known. I would recommend the tour to anyone! Bernie
Response from the operator: It’s especially rewarding to hear that the experience added new insights beyond what you already knew. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us, and we hope to create another unforgettable experience for you in the future.

Christmas walking Tour Madrid
Spent an amazing time on this Christmas walking tour in Madrid with Carolina. She was incredibly personable and clearly cared about making the experience meaningful, taking time to answer every question and share thoughtful context rather than rushing us from sight to sight. I learned a ton about the city’s history, architecture, Christmas spirit and everyday life, with plenty of great tips for food, neighborhoods, and what to see next. It felt more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend than being on a generic tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

She truly has a gift for making experiences feel personal and meaningful, and it’s great to know you enjoyed the thoughtful insights, local tips, and festive atmosphere she shared. We love that it felt more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend—that’s exactly the experience we aim to create. Wonderful tour
Great tour. Very informative and fun. Our guide Gonzala even stopped by a market stand and ordered us mulled wine in a souvenir mug with a sweet treat to enjoy along the journey. We learned so much about this great city. He knew all the best photo locations.
Response from the operator: Hi Jeffrey, I'm thrilled to hear that you had a great tour with Gonzala, who not only provided informative and enjoyable insights but also went above and beyond by arranging mulled wine and sweet treats at a market stand, enhancing your journey. Think of us next time you travel, we have a network of over 1,200 hosts around the world.

Thanks for the memororable tour of Madrid - definitely worth recommending!
Thanks Patricia for such a fun and memorable tour of Madrid - you've expanded the charm and beauty of Madrid! We had a great day full of laughter and inpiring stories of what makes Madrid the ciry that it is today. You're very knowledgeable and informative about the history and made us love the story of Madrid as a city. We explored various plazas (each with its own charm), wondered at the Royal Palace and Cathedral, heard the history of shops that have been around for centuries, seen the significance of buildings throughout the city, and got good recommendations for good food and experiences to explore further. Thanks for a great day! Would highly recommend for a day filled with happy memories and knowledge about what makes Madrid beautiful as it is.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $46 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Madrid Christmas Tour: Private & Custom with a Local Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
