    Fun activity before dinner

It was ok. Several floors including local Austrian people like Sigmund Freud, Mozart, etc. kids had fun. But I think it was overpriced for the experience.

Response from the operator: Hi Michelle! Thank you for rating us! We really appreciate your feedback. We hope you fully enjoyed your visit and could take home some nice memories! However, we are very sorry to hear that you found it too expensive. We are always eager to get original clothes and accessories from our stars (e.g. Udo Jürgens sits at a real Bösendorfer piano or Sandra Bullock is wearing a designer dress from Elie Saab), which are quite expensive. Additionally, the making process of a wax figure costs up to 200.000€. Hence, you can imagine why prices are set that high. Nevertheless, there is the possibility to check for discounted tickets on our website, which might give you cheaper entrance or book combination tickets of two sights at once. Best wishes from Vienna!

    Worth visiting - interactive

Kids especially enjoyed a real plus is the interactive nature with props to use and take pictures for photos. Staff member at shop a bit brusque but rest of staff friendly, overall worth a visit.

Response from the operator: Hi! Thank you very much for the great rating and your wonderful feedback. We are very happy to read that you enjoyed your visit so much and really appreciate your nice words. We hope you could take home some lovely memories and plan to visit us again soon. Have a nice day! Where quality meets design.

Madame Tussauds Vienna is a fantastic experience! The wax figures are incredibly realistic, the displays are fun and interactive, and it’s perfect for photos. A must-visit attraction in Vienna for all ages!

    Liebe wurst?

I know Austrians love their wurst but coming to a wax figure museum like MT Vienna was a disappointment. The tickets are not worth the exhibition because there are not that many figures. Towards the end you will see the prized star Conchita Wurst. Had to explain my 6 yr old daughter why a man with beard that’s dressed like a lady and has a lady makeup is there and why is he/she or whatever the f there

Response from the operator: Hi John, we are very sorry to hear that you did not quite enjoy your visit and found it too expensive. Regarding your opinion about one of our figures, we can only say that we, as a brand, stand for inclusion and equality. Conchita Wurst not only represents these values, but was also the second person ever to win the Eurovision Song Contest for Austria. Therefore, she has every right to be part of our attraction. If you cannot support these values, this may simply not be the right place for you.

Madame Tussauds Vienna: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.

How much does Madame Tussauds Vienna cost?

    +

Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Madame Tussauds Vienna take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.

Is Madame Tussauds Vienna worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 102 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Madame Tussauds Vienna?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Madame Tussauds Vienna suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Madame Tussauds Vienna?

    +

Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Madame Tussauds Vienna start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vienna?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vienna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vienna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
