    Great Fun

The class started with an interesting trip to the marketplace where we were introduced to local food and vegetables. We then walked to the cooking school, which by the way, was very clean, where we made three dishes. Our instructor was knowledgeable, entertaining and helpful. The course was both interesting and great fun. Highly recommended.

My own experience. Individual may differ.

Not recommended if you want the instructor to focus on individuals because the class was too big (17/18 pax) that the instructor is unable to cope. Although instructor have an assistant but was too young to guide on cooking steps, assistant were only there assisting with clearing of cooking materials. We went as a group of 6, but there was also another group of 6/7 which the instructor was focusing on them most of the time which leads to our group accidentally made a mistake by placing a ingredient into a pot. Instructor face turns black immediately showing her unhappiness like we owe her but not knowing that she isn’t facing us when she talks, and she didn’t check on us either because we were at the end of the table. Showing that attitude face was completely unnecessary. We are there to learn and enjoy, not to see that attitude face. Were suppose to receive the recipe via email upon completion of class but nothing was received. Nothing much was learnt because all the dishes use same sauce and same vegetables unlike Thai cuisine that are more fun and challenging. I’ve went for Japan cooking class before and was way better than this. Maybe I chose the wrong operator on a wrong date with the wrong dish. Nevertheless would not go back to this operator for other dishes and wouldn’t recommend to those that would like to truly learn and enjoy cooking classes in a not overpacked class, wouldn’t want to face unnecessary attitude face, receive recipe after class.

    Excellent cooking class

This cooking class was excellent. We made some great food. Pho was so good. Unique rice paper for the spring roll. Chef was patient and took his time to teach us.

Excellent activity in Saigon. Highly recommended

Excellent activity, very well organised, clean & very well-equipped facilities, professional staff, nice dishes to cook, tasted great each one of them. We did the morning cooking class of Northern dishes. There were about 18 people in the class, splitting into small groups for tasks and dishes. Very interactive, fun and rewarding. All of us enjoyed it very much. Helen and her team have created something quite special to add to the charm of Saigon.

M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.

How much does M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon cost?

    +

Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.

Is M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does M.O.M Cooking Class in Saigon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
