Great trip to Luxor!
Our trip to Luxor with Oxen of Egypt was excellent. All of the arrangements were done well and we really enjoyed the experience. Our guide (Samar) was friendly, very knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about our well being, and ensured the trip was very memorable. They made all the arrangements (door to door) from our hotel in Cairo to the airport, throughout the day in Luxor, and then back to the hotel, and made everything very convenient. All the drivers were great, friendly and reliable. We also had the opportunity to eat lunch at a beautiful restaurant overlooking green fields, and experience a local coffee shop that served one of the best espressos I’ve ever had. Luxor is an amazing city and a must see on any visit to Egypt. I would definitely recommend Oxen of Egypt and would use them again in a heartbeat.

A day in Egypt with Samar
We puased our diving trip on the red sea shore at Roots for a long day trip to Luxor. We were picked up at Roots very early but had a comfortable trip to Luxor. We met our guide Samar who was with us al day. She is a great guide, very friendly, with a lot of knowledge about Egypt and the sites. We felt very privileged with her company. We had a nice lunch with here and got some time to get to know her. The program is a full one and some times you wish to have more time, but you know that there isn't. Back home was a long trip also, but that depends on where you're travelling from. In the end our experience was a great one. Samar was the best.
Response from the operator: Sometimes i can't find words to reply beautiful people like you Anouk , Edwin , and Aaron . thank you so much for your nice words . i was so pleased to be your guide and to get to know you and your lovely family . i hope to see all of you again one day .

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxor day trip from Cairo by plane (Round Trip).?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Giza?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Giza?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
