An unforgettable lunch in the Peace Palace that is worth every moment 💫

An experience that really feels. We went in February with my partner looking to do something different in Buenos Aires... and ended up living one of the most special moments of the trip. From the moment you walk through the door of the Peace Palace, everything changes: history, elegance, atmosphere... it is impossible not to get excited. The lunch was excellent, but what really makes this experience unique is the setting. Sharing a table in such an imposing place, surrounded by so much beauty, makes it a memory that remains forever. It’s one of those plans that is not just “a meal”, but a time to connect, to enjoy and to get out of the everyday. If you're hesitating, I'd tell you not to think about it too much. It's completely worth it. Ideal for couples or to treat themselves to a different experience in the city.

Response from the operator: ¡Muchísimas gracias por compartir una experiencia tan especial!

    Overpriced and not very tasty.

This lunch was purchased from Viator a few weeks before our trip to Buenos Aires, who charged $A72 each which we thought originally was a fair enough price. However when we turned up at the restaurant there was so much trouble trying to verify this booking even though we had booking on our phone. Also the menu we were given was 35000 Argentinian pesos which was equivalent to $A35, therefore we were charged double for the menu we received. The food was very average, probably applicable to a $35 menu - basic vegetable rissoles for entre, a ragout pasta dish which looked like minced pork which was not that enjoyable, and dessert was one scoop of vanilla icecream with nothing extra. We also received a couple of drinks each. So I would recommend giving this restaurant a miss, even though in lovely old surroundings. Also if you cannot speak Spanish you are going to have a very difficult time getting a translation of the menu from any of the staff. Only one waitress had a very basic understanding of English. I do not know whether we were supposed to be given an a la carte menu, as we noticed a bit later with other patrons they had a large menu, whilst ours was only a little menu sheet.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us and taking the time to detail it. We want to clarify that the reserved lunch corresponds to a previously defined tourist menu, whose dishes, drinks and format are detailed in the publication at the time of purchase. It is not an a la carte menu, so the restaurant offers a fixed proposal specially prepared for passengers of the service. The amount paid through the platform includes advance reservation, prior coordination and the agreed menu, which guarantees availability, especially in areas and times of high demand. We are sorry if this did not fully meet your expectations and we greatly appreciate your comment, which helps us continue to improve the information and experience of our passengers.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buenos Aires.

How much does Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion cost?

    +

How long does Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buenos Aires is not rushed.

Is Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Buenos Aires, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buenos Aires can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buenos Aires and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lunch at Palacio Paz luxurious historic mansion start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buenos Aires within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Buenos Aires?

    +

On Outty we rank every Buenos Aires experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Argentine Cooking, Wine & Beef Tasting at Argentine Experience, Historical Sherpa Food Tour of San Telmo with Street Food, Drinks, Cooking Class with Empanadas Steak & Flan by Argentine Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Buenos Aires?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Buenos Aires?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
