Great Experience

It’s a short easy ride from Montego Bay and our driver was very nice and pleasant throughout. Although the tour in the lagoon itself is pretty short - maybe 30 minutes - it still is a great experience. Do not get the photos from the local operatives- I paid for them and they never emailed the photos to me.

Response from the operator: Thank you for leaving us a review

Overpriced

Luminescent water was so awesome. Never seen before. Definitely a bucket list excursion. Your was very short and I think way overpriced for such a quick tour.

Response from the operator: So sorry to hear this customer feels this way, as usually we do not facilitate just a single customer doing a tour. Our minimum requirement is usually 2 customers per tour. We went ahead and perform this tour even at a loss to the company. Good that he enjoyed the event anyhow.

Interesting experience

Fantastic trip. Amazed how the water glows when touched. Very interesting. Take water shoes though because it's not deep and the bottom is mud. Horrible feeling. Well worth the money

Response from the operator: Thank you for this review. Great to know you enjoyed your tour.

Misleading cost and expectations

Our driving Barry was lovely, however, the cost & additional cost upon arrival didn’t make sense. I am requesting reimbursement.

Response from the operator: There was an update on this product to include the collection fee instead of the travel alone. The change was partially complete in that the inclusion was changed while the change in cost was not updated until afterward. Due to the incomplete update the entry fee was not paid for the tour. Customer was made aware and was told regardless of the fact that the cost was not changed on the website we will still go ahead and pay for entry fee, Apparently these guests did not understand the explanation

Th lagoon is amazing, but...

The lagoon is amazing, but the tour company charged too much on transportation, it would be a reasonable deal if entrance fee is included.

Response from the operator: Than for the suggestion. We will review this tour.

Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Luminous Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

+

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
