What you'll see and do
Lucerne
Accompanied by one of our English-speaking and local expert tour guide, this unique tour combines sightseeing of Chapel Bridge and Lucerne’s old town with a visit of the most famous brewery of central Switzerland and beer tastings. It is the best way to spend a short time in one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Eichhof is a proud beer of a proud region. Brewed just outside Lucerne, in the heart of Switzerland. A beer that has been appreciated throughout the whole country for more than 180 years. Nowadays the company brews thirteen different varieties. One beer for every individual and every occasion. From the classic “Lager” to the strong “Barbara”, using only the best ingredients: first-class malting barley, fine flavoured hops, yeast from our own breeding and pure water. The tour includes a tasting of 6 different Eichhof beers and a pretzel or brewing sausages (pork) with a special bread.

Chapel Bridge
The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge is unique in containing a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were destroyed along with a larger part of the centuries-old bridge in a 1993 fire. Subsequently restored, the Chapel Bridge is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. It serves as the city's symbol and as one of Switzerland's main tourist attractions.

Lion Monument
The Lion Monument (German: Löwendenkmal), or the Lion of Lucerne, is a rock relief in Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and hewn in 1820–21 by Lukas Ahorn. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris. It is one of the most famous monuments in Switzerland, visited annually by about 1.4 million tourists. In 2006 it was placed under Swiss monument protection. Mark Twain praised the sculpture of a mortally wounded lion as "the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world."

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lucerne.
How much does Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lucerne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lucerne is not rushed.
Is Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lucerne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lucerne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lucerne and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Lucerne Walking Tour and Beer Tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lucerne within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lucerne?
+
On Outty we rank every Lucerne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jungfraujoch Top of Europe Day Trip from Lucerne, Lucerne Walking & Boat Tour: The Best Swiss Experience, Mount Pilatus Summit from Lucerne With Lake Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lucerne?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lucerne?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
