Day at the Kuang Si Waterfalls

We made a joint tour to 6 people with Dang as guide. Perfectly organized with a nice hike until noon. We arrived at a nice corner for the break with a choice of local dishes, and Dang even thought about fresh croissants. Possibility of swimming in clean water😊. Then go back down and arrive at the beginning of the waterfall and again go down where you can see it well, possibility of swimming, pictures wholesale 2hrs free to enjoy the beautiful place 🙂 back in minibus and drop off at your hotel. All at a decent price, nothing to say thank you to the team. We also did the 3 days in Nong Khiaw with them.

Rice farmers for the day!

We loved our experience as ‘rice farmers’ and the guide was excellent. In fact it has been one of the best experiences that we have taken part in. The meal provided was plentiful and delicious. We also got a chance to have a go at extracting the sugar cane juice for drinks .. a bonus. We were each given a woven animal or bird from the elderly gentlemen who were weaving the items out of bamboo. The waterfalls were just beautiful. The pick ups and drop offs went to plan and kept up to speed with the plans for the day.

Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Luang Prabang.

How much does Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $34 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Luang Prabang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Luang Prabang is not rushed.

Is Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Luang Prabang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Luang Prabang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luang Prabang and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall & Rice Farm Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Luang Prabang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Luang Prabang?

+

On Outty we rank every Luang Prabang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Luang Prabang: Cruise to Pak Ou Caves & Kuang Si Waterfalls, Mekong Meals Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, FULL DAY – Kuang Si Waterfall, Kayak on the Nam Ou / Mekong River, Pak Ou Caves. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Luang Prabang?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Luang Prabang?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
