Disappointing
⭐️ Very Disappointing Experience — Tour Canceled Without Notice I booked a 4-hour Los Angeles city tour and was really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, on the day of the scheduled tour, the operator canceled the tour without any prior notice, which was extremely disappointing and completely disrupted our plans. Two days before the tour, I contacted Tripadvisor and Aviator because I had questions and wanted to make sure everything was confirmed. Unfortunately, I was only connected to an AI system, and none of my questions were properly answered. I was also given a code to log into the app, but the code was invalid, making it even more difficult to get assistance. After the tour was canceled, I was told that a supervisor would contact me, but I am still waiting for that call. The lack of communication and customer support throughout this entire experience was very frustrating. I understand that unexpected circumstances can sometimes happen, but customers should be notified promptly and given clear assistance when their plans are affected. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, particularly because of the poor communication, lack of customer support, and last-minute cancellation. I hope Tripadvisor and the tour operator take this feedback seriously and improve how they handle cancellations and customer concerns.
Response from the operator: We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and apologize for not meeting your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take concerns like yours seriously and would like the opportunity to make things right. If you're willing, please contact us with more details so we can review the situation and work toward a resolution.

Private tour of Los Angeles with Pin Tours and our Chauffeur Barkat 11/30/24
Our chauffeur Barkat -- 5 stars! ! he was so kind and attentive and took us to some very prime locations. we were very pleased. we would request him again as our driver and would recommend him to anyone and Pin Tours

Unfortunately this did...
Unfortunately this did not meet our expectation. We understand this is an app based tour but had thought with a driver that they would be familiar with the route, know the stops and let us know approximate times we could spend at specific stops. Our driver spoke less than ten words to us in four hours, skipped stops (I was following the route on our phone) and was visibly irritated by the app and traffic including telling us the app was wrong. We had a 6 year old in the car and he played a radio station with frequent expletives in talkback language. Was just a super expensive Uber unfortunately, definitely not as advertised. You would be better off picking a couple of the destinations and ubering - save significantly on the cost and see the same sights.

Great tour for the price and comfort
Brandon really knows his music history! Great tour and good way to see a lot of LA! Comfortable vehicle, knowledgable guide and lots of laughs! You'll enjoy this one!
via Tripadvisor
Loved it! Best stops and commentary of LA!
Did this tour with my family and it was the perfect tour. You can start this tour anytime, pause it, and resume whenever you would like! We started out in Santa Monica, grabbed dinner and then went to the 3rd street promenade, Beverly Hills and finished the rest of the tour the next day! Great fun!

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.
How much does Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.
Is Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Los Angeles Private 4 Hour Driving Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?
+
Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Los Angeles Original 90-Minute Walking Tour to The Hollywood Sign. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?
+
March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Angeles?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
