    Great company

This is a bit of a different review as we didn’t actually go snorkelling. Our trip was during rainy season and our guide (Man) gave every opportunity for the trip to go ahead - however weather conditions weren’t favourable and he brought us back to the hotel. Discovery checked whether we wanted to reschedule and when timing didn’t allow promptly arranged a full refund. I was so impressed with the care for our wellbeing and the prompt no hassle refund - I will definitely book this experience again when I return to Thailand!! Great company.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It was unlucky that the weather wasn't so good on the day you came. At this time of year it can be very changable. We will look forward to seeing you again on your next trip though!

    Great Snorkeling and Beach Day

We had a great day snorkeling and having lunch on a beach with Man (Mon?) and his crew. We were picked up on time at our hotel; the van transport was clean and cool. Man had a cooler stocked with water, soda, and crackers for our trip. We had our three kids with us, ages 9, 7, and 5 and he was so friendly and helpful with them. When we got to the snorkeling spot, he had a printout of the marine life we were likely to see. We lucked out that the water was clear the day we went and the fish we saw were incredible. My daughter struggled a bit so opted to stay on the boat and Man and his crew played with her and helped her feed the fish so she would still have fun. From there we went to a secluded beach and had a yummy lunch - the picnic area was well shaded under trees and there were swings around for the kids to play in. The beach was fine, white sand and the day we went the water was cool and slightly wavy so perfect for body surfing. Highly recommend this trip!

Response from the operator: I am very happy to see that you enjoyed your day with Mhan and the team. I am glad to see that they were able to help you enjoy your day. I hope we will be seeing you again soon.

Great local snorkeling trip, excellent scenery, only 6 people & so well looked after especially by Om. Thank you.

Thank you for a brilliant snorkeling trip. So well looked after by Om & staff from start to end. Not far from Khaolak which was a big bonus. Really scenic & enjoyed seeing mangroves, great snorkel stops, fed monkeys on their island from the boat! Amazing lunch stop Khao Lam Pi National Park & clear blue ocean swim after, on a huge stretch of white sanded beach all to ourselves!

Response from the operator: It sounds as if you had an amazing day with Ohm and the rest of the team. The Khao Na Yak reef is a fantastic place for a chilled snorkelling session, not too far from Khao Lak and with an amazing beach nearby for lunch. I am so happy top read that you enjoyed your day snorkelling with Ohm, an I hope we will be seeing you again very soon.

    Nice and relaxing snorkeling trip

We had a peaceful and relaxing snorkeling tour. The small group made the experience feel personal, and the calm, stress‑free atmosphere was perfect. Our guide Ohm and his team were friendly, helpful, and added a warm touch to the trip. The snorkeling was enjoyable, and we spotted several fish, including lionfish and clownfish. We would have appreciated slightly longer stops at each snorkeling location, but it was still a lovely experience. All in all, a pleasant and relaxing tour that we’re happy to recommend.

Response from the operator: Ohm really is a fantastic guide, and so enthusiastic about his job. It is great to read that he was able to help you enjoy your day. i very much hope you will be back again very soon.

Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.

How much does Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach cost?

    +

Prices start at $97 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.

Is Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 95 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach?

    +

Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Local Reef Snorkelling and Deserted Beach start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krabi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krabi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krabi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
