Limnoupolis Water Park All in

Very disappointing experience

We planned our visit for Thursday, when the water park was supposed to be open, and drove for around 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered that Limnoupolis Water Park was closed. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of communication. There was no clear announcement on their social media informing visitors that the park would be closed. In fact, they were still posting content encouraging people to visit the water park. I called to find out what was happening, and I was told that the water park would remain closed that day due to the bad weather. While it had been rainy earlier in the morning, from around 10:00 onwards the weather had improved significantly and it became a beautiful day. With a young child, this was especially frustrating after making the long drive. Thankfully, we were able to save the day by going to Chrispy Water Park, where we spent the rest of the day enjoying the slides. My main advice to Limnoupolis would be to communicate closures clearly and in advance, especially on social media, so visitors can avoid making a long and unnecessary journey.

Amazing water park, amazing staff!

Our family had such an amazing day here at Limnoupolis. We had previously booked tickets with a pick up, but soon realised our pick up was over an hour away! We contacted the water park and they were very professional and helpful. They rearranged our tickets for the next day and immediately reimbursed the extra 40e for the transfer we had missed. We arrived the following day and explained at the reception and they knew all about what had happened and said they had been waiting for us! They were so helpful and understanding, nothing was too much trouble. The water park was excellent, lots of slides, very clean, locker facilities (these are 5e for the day but they gave us ours free due to the trouble we had!) showers and toilets. Lifeguards on each slide, who were extremely vigilant, they all communicated together if there was a problem and stopped rides etc. Very impressed. We bought snacks and soft drinks from the supermarket near the entrance and we were very surprised at the low prices. 2e for coke, fanta etc and 1.90 for beer! There are also places to eat and drink with seating dotted around the park which was reasonably priced. We took our our own food and found sunbeds easily. Lots of space and no waiting time for rides. Our youngest boys 10 and 14 had the best time, it felt like a very safe park full of families. Our eldest 19 and my husband and I equally enjoyed it too! Would highly recommend, 5 stars!

Worth it for a family day out

Had a full day at the water park. Booked online and drove there with a hire car. Decent waterpark. Lots of different slides. Didn’t wait long to go on them. Park could do with a little modernisation but was fine. Plenty of sunbeds to relax too and big pool. Food and drinks expensive but to be expected. Had a good day out in all despite wife banging her head on a slide early on! Would go back and 12 year old son enjoyed it.

Great fun, lovely staff and lifesavers, food is the missing piece for 5-star rating

The park is great fun for family. Very good slides with a variaty from fun and coozy to some more daredevil experiences. Slides could use a touch up of it's surfaces but when it comes to fun for money this is a higly valued park in my opinion. Staf is very friendly and want to solve every problem in a good way for the customer. I would recommend the park to ensure staff is valued and made sure they are kept. Food, as most family parks, has a lot to whish for. We had the mandatory chicken nugets and fries. My son did not approve the nuggets taste, said it tasted fish. I had a tuna sallad. Very slim sallad, just a sprinkle of tuna. On the positive side, the sallad leaves where all super fresh. If you get someone with a passion for food who could sequre some simple standard dishes but delivered with a bit more quality then you would come a long way!

Not taking safety seriously enough

I had a bad experience here when I had a nasty accident on a water slide - I feel the accident was completely preventable and that there was a real lack of support and understanding from the park manager who tried to blame me. I am a 48yr old man who was at the park with my wife and two kids. At all times I followed all the ride instructions. On one ride the inflatable ring flipped me and I hit my head harder than I’ve ever hit it in my life. I feel very lucky that the accident wasn’t even worse than it was. The first aider told me that as a man of my size (6ft) I should not have been in the specific type of ring I was in. There are some rings that are a slightly lighter yellow colour than the other rings and they appear to be a bit more buoyant. However there are no signs warning customers about this and the lifeguard at the top of the slide loaded my ring in without warning me. I completely understand that accidents happen but I feel this was entirely preventable. What upset me most was the attitude of the park supervisor/manager who tried to blame me saying I “must have let go of the ring”. He said that the first aider had told me the wrong information and that any ring is safe for a 6ft man. I think I am inclined to believe the first aider rather than the park supervisor who seemed to take a defensive attitude straight away to deflect any blame from his park and try to blame me. I completely understand that any visit to a theme park/water park brings some risk. But I don’t think this place is doing enough to minimise that risk and keep customers safe. Rather than trying to understand exactly what had happened and offer comfort and reassurance to me, the supervisor wanted to sweep it under the carpet and blame me. I warned the park that unless they warn customers these rings aren’t suitable for everyone then they could have a really serious accident on their hands. I feel lucky I did not break my neck or perhaps even worse. I would advise anyone visiting this park to only use the darker rings. Until this incident we had a decent day. The park is small - which suited my kids 8 & 11 who enjoyed the main pool. The staff (other than the supervisor) were friendly. It is dated and I personally think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is.
