Great beginner class
I had 2-day light sailing course with Wind Pirates booked through trip advisors. I had zero sailing knowledge prior to class, my intent was to get a general feel for the sport and see how my body feels after an injury (I am looking for a new sport/hobby). Communication/organization via WhatsApp was excellent (I’m not sure I got her name right, Dani? I’m sorry) - on time, detailed, and considerate. They also helped me organize a kitesurfing class with a different provider, and even helped arranging transfer to Pollenca from Alcudia. I booked a small group class, it ended up being just me and another person which was great because we got to have real hands-on experience. I think it wouldn't be as good if there were more people. Ioritz was my instructor. There were few misunderstandings due to language but generally he was able to explain the theory well and we could understand each other. I particularly liked that he observed us and provided very helpful feedback, explaining and demonstrating what we do wrong — often instructors only tell you what to do, not what you’re doing wrong, causing you to repeat the same mistake. Thanks to Ioritz I was able to tack and gybe by the end of the 2nd day! Great experience overall, good value, good vibe with staff and instructor. I walked away happy and with the feeling that I learned a lot. Thank you Wind Pirates!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! It’s fantastic to hear that you had such a positive experience with us at Wind Pirates. We’re especially happy that the course gave you the opportunity to discover sailing from scratch and see how it felt for you after your injury. We hope you’ve found a new sport and hobby to enjoy! We’ll make sure to share your kind words with Ioritz. We’re very proud of the way he works with our students, especially his focus on observing, correcting mistakes and explaining the “why” behind each manoeuvre. And managing to tack and gybe by the end of the second day is a great achievement for someone starting with zero sailing experience! ⛵️👏 We’re also glad that Dení could help you with the logistics of your trip and even with arranging your kitesurfing experience and transfer to Pollença. We always try to make things as easy as possible for our guests, both on and off the water. We think the organization and the attention to detail to our costumers is really important. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we really appreciate your trust and your kind words about the whole team. We hope to see you back on the water again soon! Thank you! 🏴☠️⛵️

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mallorca.
How much does Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates cost?
+
Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mallorca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mallorca is not rushed.
Is Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mallorca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mallorca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mallorca and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Light Sailing Course in Alcudia with Wind Pirates start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mallorca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mallorca?
+
On Outty we rank every Mallorca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mallorca Full Day Tour Valldemossa Deià and Sóller Experience, Best Mallorca Coves: Paddle Surf, Snorkeling and Guide, 3 Hours E-Bike Tour in Palma. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mallorca?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mallorca?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
