Unforgettable Day at the Great Wall with Friendly & Inclusive Service
We had an incredible time on this Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing! From start to finish, everything was so well-organized, and we felt incredibly welcomed and supported throughout the entire experience. Our guide William was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. They were also very attentive to our interests and needs, and we could tell they genuinely cared about making our visit to this iconic site memorable. The Great Wall itself is just as spectacular as everyone says, and having a private tour made the whole experience feel even more special. We didn’t have to worry about crowds, and it allowed us to really soak in the beauty and history of the Wall at our own pace. One of the best parts of the tour was how LGBTQ+ inclusive the experience felt. It’s not always easy to find travel options where you feel fully accepted, but this tour made us feel right at home. The guide and driver were both respectful, open-minded, and ensured the whole day was about making us feel safe and happy. The drive was comfortable, and the weather was perfect, which made the whole trip even better. If you’re an LGBTQ+ traveler looking to explore the Great Wall of China in a supportive and inclusive environment, this tour is absolutely perfect. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience one of the world’s most iconic landmarks in a way that’s fun, respectful, and totally hassle-free. We’ll never forget this day in Beijing!

Friendly and patient
We liked the way Judy treated us, like we were any other couples traveling together. It was hard to tell if the tours were LGBT friendly when we tried to book online, especially in Asia. But we made the right choice to go with Judy. Thanks, Judy and her team.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for trusting us with your journey. We're truly honored to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for all travelers, including the LGBTQ+ community. Judy and our team are committed to treating everyone with respect and care, just like family. It means a lot to hear that you felt supported and valued throughout your tour. We look forward to welcoming you again anytime!

Awesome Private Beijing Great Wall Tour - LGBT Friendly
My husband and I recently visited Beijing (October, 2019) to “check off” one of the items on our bucket list; that being walking the Great Wall of China (well, 2 ½ kilometers of it anyway). Prior to leaving our home in Vancouver, Canada, we searched the internet for a reputable tour company (guide) and found Judy’s Discovery Tours on Trip Advisor. Judy specializes in LGBT clientele. We are very experienced world travelers and accordingly, did our homework on Judy’s Tours. However, “you never really know what you are going to get, until you get there”. We booked the tour online a month or so before we departed for Beijing and we hoped for the best. Well, let us tell you, what a wonderful experience we had with Judy!! This lady certainly knows her stuff!! We had arranged a pick-up for 9:00 am at the InterContinental Hotel and then we’d drive to the Great Wall. Judy and her driver arrived just before 9:00 AM along with her driver and an immaculately clean, air conditioned late model passenger van, complete with cold bottled water and umbrellas, should we need them. The drive to the great Wall is about an hour and forty-five minutes which Judy narrated the history of everything along the scenic drive. She sure knows her history and speaks fluent English. Once at the Wall, Judy purchased the tickets for the rides both up and back down the Wall and once up on the Wall, she followed along our walking journey and provided more history and commentary of how and why the Wall was built. She even arranged for us taking the sled from the top of the Wall back down to the bottom. (you have to try the sled coming down rather than the gondola – it’s great fun). On the way back into Beijing, Judy asked us if we’d like to stop for lunch at one of the restaurants located in many of the small bedroom communities that surround the Great Wall area. We said yes, and with a single phone call from our van, Judy called ahead and let them know we were on our way. We had a great lunch of the tastiest Chinese food we’ve ever eaten. Once back at the hotel, we sadly parted company to a new friend... Judy. We both highly recommend Judy. And, if you do contact her for your Great Wall experience, you won’t be disappointed. LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing cost?
+

How long does LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does LGBTQ+ Friendly Private Day Tour to the Great Wall from Beijing start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
