Enjoyable excursion - with a few caveats
We enjoyed our excursion overall, with a few caveats. Our primary reason for booking this excursion was to visit Lempuyang (the Gate of Heaven). When our driver, Mu'in, picked us up, he informed us that Lempuyang was closed until June 20 due to a religious holiday. We completely understand and respect closures for local religious observances. However, the tour was still being advertised and available for booking during that period, and photos of the Gate of Heaven remained prominently featured in the listing. We suspect we were not the only guests who booked the tour expecting to visit that location. Mu'in did his best to accommodate the situation by suggesting alternative stops, although some were places we had already visited or were not interested in. Our revised itinerary included Tirta Gangga, Tunas Bali Luwak Coffee Plantation, and Tegenungan Waterfall. One additional surprise was that the original itinerary listed Tukad Cepung Waterfall, which was one of the attractions we were also especially looking forward to because of its unique cave setting. Instead, we visited Tegenungan Waterfall. It was beautiful, and we enjoyed having lunch at the Omma Day Club Restaurant overlooking the falls. An added bonus was being able to use the restaurant's elevator back to the parking lot, sparing us the long climb up the stairs. One final point is that this tour appeared in our search for tours departing from Seminyak. As first-time visitors to Bali, we relied on TripAdvisor's recommendations and did not realize how much driving would be involved. We ultimately spent considerably more time in the car than at the attractions themselves. It would be helpful if the listing made the expected travel time more explicit so travelers can make a more informed decision. Overall, Mu'in was courteous and accommodating and this feedback is intended primarily to help improve the accuracy of the tour listing and better align expectations.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your day overall and that Mu'in took good care of you. We truly appreciate your kind words about his professionalism and flexibility. We also appreciate your comments regarding Lempuyang Temple. Unfortunately, temporary closures for major religious ceremonies are decided by the temple authorities, and in some cases the information becomes available only shortly before or during the closure period. When this happens, we always do our best to offer alternative attractions so our guests can still enjoy a full day exploring Bali. Regarding Tukad Cepung Waterfall, this stop may occasionally be replaced due to operational conditions, weather, traffic, or time considerations to ensure the tour runs smoothly and safely. We're glad you enjoyed Tegenungan Waterfall and your lunch at Omma Day Club. Thank you as well for mentioning the driving time. Bali is a much larger island than many first-time visitors expect, and travel times between attractions can be significant. Your feedback is very valuable, and we will review our tour description to make the expected travel times clearer for future travelers. Thank you again for your constructive feedback and for choosing Bali Hit. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure in Bali!

Our tour guide Putu was very friendly, helpful, and informative. We had a fun day and it was well worth the money. He takes awesome photos also. You will need to tell the guide exactly where you want to go as this tour was not structured according to the tour description.

This Bali tour provided a very convenient experience! We had the privilege of touring some of the most beautiful sights and there was no difficulty involved. We were able to go at our own speed, which was perfect. Putu, our driver, was always on time and provided wonderful advice and assistance while making our journey even more pleasant. Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jimbaran.
How much does Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $78 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jimbaran usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jimbaran is not rushed.
Is Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jimbaran, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jimbaran can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jimbaran and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven) and East Bali Private Bali Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jimbaran within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jimbaran?
+
On Outty we rank every Jimbaran experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover The Best of Ubud: All-Inclusive and Private Guided Tour, Ubud: Monkey Forest, Jungle Swing, Rice Terrace and Water Temple, Best of Ubud Private and All-Inclusive 1-Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jimbaran?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jimbaran?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
