About this experience
Naples may be famous for pizza, Mount Vesuvius and its lively street life, but it also has a hidden side steeped in superstition, tradition and belief. On this tour, you’ll uncover the city’s folklore and colorful characters that bring Neapolitan culture to life. Begin in Piazza Bellini, where Greek ruins sit in the heart of the modern city. Stroll Via dei Tribunali, hearing tales of rituals and old superstitions, before visiting the Sansevero Chapel. Commissioned in the 18th century by Prince Raimondo di Sangro, it houses Giuseppe Sammartino’s Veiled Christ, a marble sculpture admired the world over. Next, wander Via San Gregorio Armeno with its artisan nativity workshops, then back on Via dei Tribunali rub the nose of Pulcinella for luck, spot a Banksy mural and soak up the street food scene. Along Spaccanapoli, pause at Bar Maradona, before reaching the Church of Gesù Nuovo. Finally, at the Duomo, learn about San Gennaro, Naples’ patron saint, and his miraculous treasures.

Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful experience! I could have spent all day with guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable about everything and everywhere we went. She went above and beyond with the history and details of the city

Napoli!
Had an incredible experience with this tour. I think it is not for somebody who has never been to Naples. It is for somebody interested in seeing the real Naples. Gritty, graffiti sections, but in a strange way … be Autofill. It takes you to the real heart of this enigmatic city. Sites selected were all great, but the Chapel of Sanseverio and the Veiled Christ were mind blowing. Yes it Was extremely hot, almost to the point of being oppressive, however, these factors do not overshadow the delights of the city. Go, see, experience this, might I dare say, magical city. Our guide, Fabio, was extraordinary. He was so smart, incredibly knowledgeable and paced us beautifully, despite the temperature. Try to get him as a guide and you will have won the triple crown… If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the starting point should be in a better place. It was in a large piazza, Piazza Bellini, and between the trash cans, smell and flies, it did not make for a good start. Please go and experience Naples and try ti request Fabio as your guide!

A Warm Welcome and an Amazing Guide
We were guided by Vincenzo, a local from Naples, and he made the experience truly enjoyable. As we were the only ones in the group, we had his full attention, which made everything feel more personal. He shared a wealth of interesting insights and gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our stay. It felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring the city with a friend. We felt genuinely welcome throughout.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, thank you very much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that your experience with Vincenzo was so enjoyable and personal. Having a local guide who can share authentic insights, interesting stories, and helpful recommendations truly makes a difference, and it’s great to know that being a small group allowed the tour to feel relaxed and tailored just for you. Exploring Naples in a way that feels more like discovering the city with a friend is exactly what we hope to offer. Thank you again for your kind words—we’re so pleased you felt genuinely welcome, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience in the future! Kind regards, Customer Service Team

Amazing, memorable day!
This was one of the best days I've had in Napoli. Roberta made my experience that much more enjoyable. Her knowledge and experience as a tour guide was evident. Firstly, it was a wet, windy, cold day and I was the only person that had booked, so I had a private, personal tour!! Roberta took me to all the sites mentioned but it was her background knowledge and inside information that she shared, that I really appreciated. I was blown away by the Veil of Christ statue. Having missed out on tickets, to be able to see this beautiful statue was the highlight of the tour. But of course, there is so much that makes Napolib so special, and you'll not regret doing this tour.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We are truly delighted to hear that your day in Naples was so memorable and that Roberta contributed to making your experience even more enjoyable. It’s great to know that, despite the wet and windy weather, the private tour allowed you to fully appreciate her extensive knowledge and all the insights she shared along the way. We are especially pleased that you had the chance to admire the Veil of Christ, such an extraordinary masterpiece, and that it became the highlight of your visit. We’re happy to hear that the tour allowed you to discover what makes Naples so special, and we sincerely appreciate your recommendation. We will gladly share your kind words with Roberta: she will be very happy to receive them! Kind regards, Customer Service Team

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Legends of Naples: Superstitions, Saints and Secrets Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
