    A special evening in Lecce

On February 27, I took part in a truly special cooking class dedicated to making fresh pasta, specifically orecchiette and maccheroni. The experience was unforgettable, not only because of the quality of the lesson but also due to the intimate and friendly atmosphere that defined the entire day. With only four of us in the class, the interaction among guests was spontaneous and enjoyable—an aspect that definitely contributed to the success of the experience. Our guide, Lisa, showed incredible patience in guiding us through each step and answering all our questions with care. With her reassuring and knowledgeable approach, she made every stage of the pasta-making process clear and engaging. To complete the experience, Fabio shared his deep passion for Salento wines with us, leading a tasting of local labels that paired perfectly with the dishes we had prepared. This cooking class was not just an opportunity to learn how to make fresh pasta but also a chance to gain a deeper understanding of Salento’s culinary culture and traditions. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover the secrets of Salentine cuisine in an authentic and immersive way.

    Tons of fun

We had a blast with Lucia and her friend Paolo who helped with translation. The market visit was so much fun and we were able to see so much of the regional produce. The immersion was just fantastic. The pasta making was fun as well as the tiramisu and best of all we had it for lunch…cheers to Lucia and Paolo for an amazing and informative time…bravo salute!

    Must do cooking class!

This was a very wonderful and special day hosted by Pierangela and her husband! We learned a lot about the local market and cousins. We had many appetizers, homemade the local pasta and lamb meatball, and dessert. It was all delicious and wonderful to learn more about the culture in the area! This is a must if visiting the area!

    Cook Italiano

Absolutely incredible! Fabulous house with a beautiful garden… Our hosts were Carlo and Guisey and they were absolutely spectacular! Learned how to make gnocchi, as well as fresh pasta, the Italian way… They also ran a cute BMV and do cooking on the side. Such a great experience can’t say enough about it. Best part of our trip to Lecce!

Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lecce.

How much does Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine cost?

    +

Prices start at $147 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lecce usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lecce is not rushed.

Is Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lecce, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lecce can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lecce and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lecce: Private Farm-to-Table Market & Cooking Class by Cesarine start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lecce within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lecce?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lecce experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 hours - Boat Tour to the Caves of Santa Maria di Leuca, Understand Lecce: History & Local Stories | Small Group Tour, Tour to 4 Towns of Salento: Otranto, Leuca, Gallipoli, Galatina. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lecce?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lecce?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
