Long trip on the way to...

Long trip on the way to Leavenworth.Stopped over at so many places but enjoyable. Wish there was more time in Leavenworth.

Response from the operator: Dear Violette, Thank you so much for joining our Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour and for taking the time to share your feedback. 🌟 We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the stops along the way, but we’re truly sorry you felt there wasn’t enough time in Leavenworth itself. We understand that the village is the highlight of the day, especially during the Christmas lights season, and your comment is very helpful. We carefully plan several scenic and restroom/photo stops on the long drive for comfort and safety, but we’ll definitely review our itinerary to see how we can improve timing and give our guests more time to enjoy Leavenworth. We hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back on another tour in the future and provide an even better experience. 💚 Warm regards,

    via Viator

    Clueless Driver/Guide

So…the pick-up from hotel was late by 20mins with no communication from driver. We were scheduled to stop multiple times to see various sites, but these were mainly convenience stores. We arrived in Leavenworth at 1:07pm and were told to be back at the van at 3pm. This is unacceptable given we skipped the scheduled stops and we should have had more time in the town for lunch, shopping and site seeing. The driver only provided directional insights on the trip to Leavenworth and none very useful, definitely not a tour guide. The driver was completely silent on the trip back. He was constantly checking his phone vs having 100% attention to the snowy conditions outside. Another passenger had to turn on the heat and defrost since the front window was foggy and had ice build up. Driver didn’t ask for music preferences and country was definitely not it!!

Response from the operator: Dear William, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. During the winter time the first and most important mission of our driver guide is focusing on safety and the itinerary is very depending to road condition and weather. You are totally right about your experience and we’ll use your feedback to improve our services.” Best regards

    Amazing

The ride to Leavenworth was very informative. Plenty of stops to grab a snack, use the restroom, or sightsee. Driver was very friendly and a great guide with good recommendations. Overall, I would take this trip again!

Response from the operator: Thanks for the awesome review, Dear Fernando, We would love to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. We’d love to continue providing great service to awesome guests like you. Thanks again!

Poor service, and dodgy shady policies / communications

Unfortunately this is another one of those companies with shady policies and communications. I booked a tour and they confirmed the booking and was extremely responsive to take the business. Then I queried more detailed policies around how much notice they would give me if they cancelled on me for whatever reason, including what the guaranteed departure minimum numbers are, and they never replied even though I sent many follow-up emails. I know they read it, but they don't want to address the questions. I read a number of reviews online saying that they cancel on you with very little notice if they don't get the required numbers and I wanted to verify if this was true by asking. Silence is not a good sign. Wasted my time researching, booking and querying. The last thing I want is a company not disclosing their policies upfront and become shady and silent when asked. These are big red flags. Having travelled for 15 years, I know when to "run for it" before the expletive hits the fan. Lucky I booked through Viator and could cancel for free, which I did. I went to purchase a private tour instead for $250 more but I am happy to pay this additional fee for service from a transparent and honest company who disclosed to me their change/cancellation policies upfront, and who of course has guaranteed a tour since it is private. Avoid this company. I know they won't like this review and will come here and probably make accusations of what a terrible customer I am and tell false stories and lies (this happened before when I tried to expose another company in Auckland NZ - "Auckland Scenic Tours" - please see my reviews), and they then responded with a series of untruths and lies to cover their backside. I won't be surprised if this happens here but it is my duty as a traveller and TripAdvisor reviewer to provide both great and bad reviews to protect other consumers and travellers. Please message me if you want details about the "honest" company I have booked with instead.

Response from the operator: Hello Dear Guest, We are so sorry that you are not satisfied during your booking. We are doing our best to be responsible and honest with our guests. But, first I need to know your booking reference number and then I could check and figure out what was the problem. Normally, our minimum requirement for Leavenworth Christmas light tour is at least 2 travelers. So, I'm looking forward to get your reference number if you are purchase from us. Best regards Daniel

Step into a postcard with this tour

Daniel provided a fantastic tour into the truly picturesque mountains of Washington. He took us to a Bigfoot Sighting area and Leavenworth with multiple stops in between to take pictures and enjoy the atmosphere. I felt like I was stepping to a postcard. Daniel was gracious, considerate and informative.

Response from the operator: Dear Viviana, Thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved your experience and can’t wait to have you back for your next service appointment. We’d love to continue providing great service to awesome customers like you. Thanks again! Daniel

Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seattle.

How much does Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle cost?

    +

Prices start at $295 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seattle usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seattle is not rushed.

Is Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seattle, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seattle can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seattle and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Leavenworth Christmas Lights Tour from Seattle start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seattle within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seattle?

    +

Seattle's best days leave the city: Mount Rainier, the San Juans, Olympic National Park and Snoqualmie Falls are all day-trip range, and each one lives or dies on the driver-guide. In town, Pike Place food tours, underground history walks and harbour cruises dominate. Our ranking favours operators with small vans over full coaches on the mountain runs. On Outty we rank every Seattle experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mt. Rainier Day Tour from Seattle, Seattle City and Snoqualmie Falls Half-Day Guided Tour, Mt. Rainier National Park Highlights Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seattle?

    +

June to September for clear Rainier views and reliable ferry weather. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seattle?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
