    About this experience

Most cocktail classes stop at recipes. Tennessee Whiskey Workshop digs deeper. This is storytelling stitched into hospitality, where Tennessee Whiskey isn’t just poured—it’s unpacked, demystified, and celebrated. You’ll use professional bar tools to create three original Old Fashioned variations, but what sets this apart is the atmosphere: no scripts, no ego, just a host who’s lived and breathed Nashville’s bar culture for 25+ years. Set in the private Tank Room at Love & Exile, the workshop is intimate, welcoming, and rooted in Southern hospitality. Guests walk away not just with new skills, but with the kind of confidence, perspective, and insider connection that makes Nashville feel like more than a stop on the map. This is cocktail education with character—part storytelling, part hands-on craft, part Eastside magic.

    Amazing time

Absolutely fantastic experience with Chris. We learned so much on the art of cocktail making that we can take home and practically use. He was so informative and very personable, and great to hang out with. We had such an amazing time and highly recommend.

    The ART of a drink

Chris was an excellent host. His knowledge of the cocktail industry was amazing. He educated us on the ART of making the best Old Fashion along with how to make a few changes that bring out new flavors. We went with our college son and friends and everyone had a great time.

    Great experience

Very fun and interesting workshop!! Worth the cost. The old fashions were phenomenal. Coordinators knowledge was outstanding.

Response from the operator: David, thank you for taking the time to share this. I’m glad you enjoyed the Old Fashioneds and the storytelling behind them. It means a lot that the experience felt worth the investment. Hope to see you back in Nashville again soon.

Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nashville.

How much does Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President cost?

    +

Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nashville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nashville is not rushed.

Is Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nashville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President?

    +

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nashville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nashville and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Learn Cocktail Design from Nashville's Bartender Guild President start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nashville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nashville?

    +

Nashville's activity mix is unusually music-heavy: Ryman and Opry backstage tours, RCA Studio B sessions, songwriter rounds and honky-tonk crawls on Broadway. Around that sit distillery runs to Lynchburg and general-admission pedal taverns. Outty Ranking penalises the crawl operators that oversell group size, which is the most common complaint in this city. On Outty we rank every Nashville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Nashville: Authentic Food Tour with 5 Tastings of Local Dishes, Nashville RCA Studio B & Country Music Hall of Fame Ticket Combo, Nashville's Wildest Honky Tonk Public Party Bus (21+). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nashville?

    +

April to May and September to October, when patios open and the humidity drops. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nashville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
