Cable car wait for one hour.
We had a very poor experience with the cable car. Waited for 50min downstairs to be admitted. Even though we bought tickets online with a pre-set time for entrance. The staff is completely helpless when it comes to handling big crowds. Recommend not going there at a public holiday.

My review
The views were amazing. Cold air and sunlight complement each other. However, express tickets are a joke. Just book normal tickets and you'll be just fine.

Nice overview of the island, more than just a cable car, but unclear what exactly you bought a ticket for.

Express Lane is a scam and it’s better to walk than taking Skyline
The view up in the hill is spectacular. No words can describe the feeling of taking the cable cab so high up and dangling at high altitude. It was amazing!!! But please, if you decide to take the cable car, just take the normal lowest rate ticket. The express lane is a TOTAL SCAM. And don’t buy ticket online if you’re hoping to spend less time queuing up at the ticketing counter. You might end up spending more time than the walk-in customers who buy the ticket on the spot the day itself at the normal counter. I bought the ticket online and took the express lane and skybridge + skyline ticket too. In total I spend 99 MYR per ticket. What I got was, I have to wait almost 50 minutes before I took the cable car up. There was a long queue for online booking counter and no supervisor monitoring the flow of ticketing counters. Normal walk in counters were not busy but the staff refused to open up for online paid customers . I was asked to go from one counter to another only to be pushed back to counter 6 (online booking counter). Finally, after I got my ticket, I went to express lane to go up but was told that I couldn’t use that facility because my tickets were normal tickets. I found out later that the staff at counter 6 issued me wrong tickets and I have to wait around 15 minutes to get them to sort out the mistake. A couple with an infant who took the cable car with me later told me that it only took them 10 minutes from the time they walked in and queued up to buy the tickets until the time they boarded the SkyCab. And they paid only 86 MYR for 2 adult tickets. I feel that I have been cheated big time. I spent 297 MYR in total for 3 adults and have to wait for 50 minutes. On top of that the queue for skyline was very long that it was faster to just walk to reach the SkyBridge from the second station. So in conclusion, if you have the expectation to save time queuing up, DON’T buy ticket online and express lane is NOT worth the money. Plus, if you’re healthy, DO NOT buy the skyline ticket. You only need 5 to 10 to walk down and another 5 to 10 minutes to walk back up to SkyCab station 2. Do however take not that walking up is tougher as you have to climb up, but you can always stop in the middle to catch your breath.

LANGKAWI 2022
Great experience. Wonderful views. Booking online wasn't the thing to do for us as the queue was much bigger than buying tickets. It's the same kiosk for online and tours.

Why this scores 43
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Langkawi.
How much does Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Langkawi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Langkawi is not rushed.
Is Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Langkawi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Langkawi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Langkawi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Langkawi Cable Car Combo Package Admission Tickets start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Langkawi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Langkawi?
+
On Outty we rank every Langkawi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include JungleWalla Langkawi UNESCO Geopark Mangrove Cruise, 6 Hours Sharing Basis Kilim Mangrove Safari Boat Tour in Langkawi, 6 Hours Kilim Mangrove Kayaking Sharing Tour (Wt Lunch & Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Langkawi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Langkawi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
