What you get
About this experience
Escape Milan for a full day on Lake Como, visiting three of its most beloved towns: Como, Bellagio, and Varenna. Travel by air-conditioned coach and enjoy a scenic boat cruise across the lake, with views of grand villas and mountains rising from the water. Start in Como, where an easy walking tour reveals elegant lakefront promenades and historic piazzas before you board the boat. Next comes Bellagio, nicknamed the "Pearl of Lake Como": wander its cobbled lanes, browse boutique shops, and enjoy free time for a lakeside lunch. The final stop is Varenna, a quieter fishing village with pastel houses, narrow alleys, and postcard-worthy lake views. With an official English- and Spanish-speaking guide (plus audio guides in French, German, Italian, and Portuguese), hassle-free transport, and free time to explore, this tour makes it easy to experience Lake Como's highlights in a single day from Milan.

Not What I Expected
Visited Lake Como, Bellagio, and Varenna. We were dropped off in each place and left on our own, very little explanation of sites given. Tour was given in Spanish and English, which was very confusing and disconcerting. It was good to see the sites but the tour was, overall, disappointing.

Great work by Amgelo
Great experience. Angelo and Donolo were great. Angelo the guide made it a very pleasant experience. He had good rapport with the boat and dock supervisor and made our travel a very special one!

Georgeous views - Long day
The area covered is BEAUTIFUL!! Trip is in both Spanish and English at the same time which can be annoying. Bus ride up the coast of lake Como is beautiful, but if traffic is bad it can significantly lengthen the trip. Tour doesn't arrive back in Milan until around 6:30 pm, if everything goes well.

Too Much Bus Time!
This experience was not what we expected! We spent about half of the trip on the bus (about 5 of our 11 hours) and had no time in Lake Como (aside from a drive through which included lots of bumper to bumper traffic), had less than 2 hours free to roam in Lake Bellagio and then 1.5 hours to walk around old town Como. We knew is advance that the Varenna stop was cancelled, but this was not how we wanted to spend our last day in Italy:( Also, beware there was no working bathroom on the bus and one off our jaunts was 2 hours with no stops!

Lovely Day
Mario was the perfect guide through Como and Bellagio! And Bellagio itself was a dream. This was the perfect day trip for a mom and two teens. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the other guide who gave a lot of the details during the bus ride would often trail off mid-sentence or start to describe something and then stop abruptly without ever finishing.

Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Lake Como Day Trip from Milan: Bellagio, Varenna & Boat Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
