The Aconcagua River bathes our path that winds the mountain, across the river The line of the train that in its time transferred passengers to Mendoza Argentina and now only used as a freight train of Copper, we began to climb the slope the curved snails between trucks of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay we reached the top and that beautiful Laguna del Inca that impresses us. Majestic and that color that marvels. The Portillo hotel awaits us with its magnificent Restaurant and huge windows overlooking the lagoon in a natural setting.

Laguna del Inca
We will begin a wonderful trip through the Intermediate Depression of our country from your hotel at approximately 06:40 am (remember that this value is in regular service shared with more tourists) taking the General San Martin highway that will take us to the border with Argentina, We have a technical stop at a service station, bathrooms, coffee, water etc. We will arrive at the MONACENTO DE CHACABUCO, where one of the battles for the Independence of Chile took place (1817). Then we will cross a mountain range called Cordón de Chacabuco through a tunnel of approximately 2 km and that serves as a regional limit, to find the beautiful view of Mount Aconcagua (the highest in the southern hemisphere) with its 6,959 meters high. We will also tell you about our first Santa from Chile, Santa Teresa de los Andes that its Sanctuary is Nearby. Later, we will find the old Trasandino Railroad line (1910) that worked between the city of the Andes and unites with the City of Mendoza (Argentina) nowadays only works on the Chilean side as a mining freight train. When passing through Rio Blanco we will see small towns, mining camps, glaciers and the imposing mountains. We will begin to climb 29 curves and see how the man built some sheds to prevent the avalanches that occur in the winter season continuing to reach the center of Ski Portillo (headquarters of the World Ski Championship in 1966) located at 3,000 meters high and a few more kilometers the international step LOS LIBERTADORES is one of the steps between the most winding mountains in the world and an adventure between deserted mountains of veguetacion. Then we will enjoy lunch (on behalf of the passenger) at the Hotel Restaurant with the stunning view of the Laguna del Inca. In the afternoon, approximately 3:30 pm we return and at your hotel between 18/19 hours depending on the traffic of Santiago.

Must do trip to the Andes, a wonderful experience
We really enjoyed our trip to Laguna Del Inca Aconcagua, Portillo. Our guide Willy was excellent, very informative, a safe driver and knew the area well. We had a chance to see condos at a special spot that he knew about and then continued into the Andes Mountains. We saw the natural beauty of the Andes and enjoyed our travel to them. The beauty of Laguna Del Inca Aconcagua is amazing as is Portillo Ski resort. We stopped at Portillo Ski Resort for lunch and truly enjoyed our dining experience as well. Portillo Ski Resort is at 10,000 feet above sea level and offers amazing views. Various Countries Olympic Ski teams and Olympic athletes train there with regularity. This was an amazing tour with a wonderful and friendly guide named Willy

Fantastic private tour. More than we expected.
We had left booking a tour until very late and it was just the 2 of us. We asked for countryside and the Andes to be included. Our guide and driver, Willy, was the best. He took us out of town to a couple of vineyards. They were beautiful and the tasting at the very small vineyard was outstanding. Then up to Portillo and Laguna del Inca. Lunch at the hotel overlooking the Laguna was fabulous. The drive up was fabulous and we stopped almost to the top for the panoramic photographs. The altitude did not trouble us. A long but fabulous day. Picked up and returned to our hotel.

Stunning Andes scenery and a nice lunch at Portillo
Beautiful and varied scenery on the trip to Laguna del Inca. Since the road is a major commercial connection between Chile and Argentina truck traffic can affect the trip time. Our guide Willie was friendly, informative and very considerate. He has a great sense of humor and made the trip even more enjoyable

A new friend in Chile
It is an unmissable experience very close to Santiago. Our guide Guillermo is very friendly and friendly. We learned a lot about the culture of Chile, we felt at home with the attentions we had. We highly recommend it.
