DAY 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau Marina – Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay 11:30 Arrive at La Regina private lounge – Lot 24, Tuan Chau Marina – Ha Long, enjoy welcome drink and express check-in before boarding. 12:15 Transferred by tender to La Regina Legend Cruises. Welcome aboard the cruise, refresh with our welcome drink while Cruise Manager briefing cruise orientation, activities & on board safety. The boat starts to cruising to Lan Ha bay. 13:00 Cruise leaves to explore Lan Ha Bay. DAY 2: Viet Hai village biking – Ba Trao Dao Beach Kayaking and Swimming 06:00 Greets first light of the Day on Sundeck, warming up your body with Tai Chi lesson or enjoy leisure time in room. 07:30 Breakfast is served at restaurant. 08:00 Boarding our day boat and start cruising toward Viet Hai fishing village 09:30 Arrive Viet Hai local pier for your 30 minute biking on a paved road along a nice lagoon then head up to a small slope before descending through a tunnel cave. The pleasant ride along the jungle path will lead you to Viet Hai, a small village nestled between jungle and limestone towers

12:30 Lunch is served whether at the village or on board. 15:00 The cruise come to Ba Trai Dao Beach. The sea water in Ba Trai Dao Beach is very clean, and on sunny days, the bottom can be seen. It’s also safe for swimming and kayaking. 16:00 Return to the main boat and leisure till dinner.

It will take you around 30 minutes to transfer from Gia Luan to Trung Trang – one of the most imperrsive caves in Cat Ba Island, Vietnam. 09:30 Back to the main boat for relaxing and check out at the reception, please put all your luggage at the outside of your cabin, crew member will help to bring luggage on land. 09:45 Lucnh is served in the restaurant while the boat heads back to the harbor. 11:00 Disembark from the cruise as our crew sa farewell, back to Tuan Chau Marina by our tender.

Amazing cruise, excellent staff, beautiful rooms - best way to experience Halong Bay.
Extraordinary, beautiful cruise ship. Staff was attentive and helpful, service was above all expectations. They also provide a variety of activities. Rooms are with private balconies with amazing views of the limestone rocks. Highly recommended, we will return for sure.

Cruise Line was excellent, Ha Long Bay as an experience not so much
We had an excellent experience overall and would absolutely recommend this cruise line, particularly if you’re looking for something a bit more premium. We were fortunate enough to be in one of the best rooms on the boat, and the service reflected that from the moment we arrived. We mentioned we were on our honeymoon, and the staff genuinely went above and beyond to make it feel special — at times we were treated like royalty. The only (very minor) downside to this level of service was that it could occasionally feel a bit over-attentive. It was sometimes difficult to simply take in the surroundings without staff constantly checking in or making eye contact, ready to assist. That said, it’s a small trade-off for such high-quality service. The food was a real highlight — consistently excellent across the trip. The breakfast buffet was probably the least impressive offering, but even then, it’s more a case of trying to find something to critique rather than a genuine issue. Where things fell short wasn’t so much the cruise line itself, but the broader Ha Long Bay experience. The bay is undeniably beautiful, but it is severely overcrowded. At no point were we ever out of sight of other boats — there are simply too many cruise ships operating in the area. What should feel like a serene, natural wonder instead feels heavily commercialised and, at times, almost congested. It genuinely detracts from the magic of the place. Adding to this, there is a noticeable amount of rubbish washed up around parts of the bay, particularly near the limestone formations. It gives an unclean impression and definitely makes you think twice about getting into the water, which is a shame given how stunning the setting is. One of the more frustrating parts of the experience was the transport to and from the marina, which we booked through the cruise line. At around $30 USD per person, we expected a straightforward transfer — but instead, the journey was broken up by stops at what can only be described as tourist trap shopping centres. On the way there, you’re funnelled through pearl shops, and on the way back, through bamboo and silk stores. There’s essentially no way to bypass them — you’re guided through a maze of sales pitches before reaching a small café, by which point you’ve barely got time to grab anything before being ushered back onto the bus. The return trip was even more bizarre, with what felt like a staged demonstration in a classroom-style setup showing off bamboo products like chamois and underwear — essentially an infomercial you can’t leave. After a relaxing cruise, it was the last thing we wanted. In hindsight, you’re far better off booking your own private transfer or taxi and avoiding the hassle altogether. In summary, the cruise line itself delivered a fantastic experience — great service, beautiful rooms, and excellent food. However, Ha Long Bay as a destination is suffering from over-tourism, and the transport arrangements felt unnecessarily commercialised. It’s still worth doing, but it’s not quite the untouched natural wonder you might expect.

La Regina Cruise Boat 2
We did the 3 day 2 night cruise on Ha Long Bay where we had a Balcony Cabin with private bathroom. All our meals were included and the food was excellent. The staff catered to our dietary restrictions without fuss and never forgot this important detail. The staff, in particular our personal host, Mr Minh were absolutely fabulous. We cannot express enough our gratitude to all of the staff that made our trip one of the best.
