A Comfortable and Well-Organized Journey to Uyuni
We are very positive surprised about the trip. Active comminication for all necessary information, pick up from our hotel with very helpful and kind guide Miguel, good pizza on board and confortable seats. We arrived perfectly on time in Uyuni and finally special thanks to Saida for the support after arrival.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review dear Marco! We’re very happy to hear that you had such a positive experience traveling with us to Uyuni. It’s great to know that our communication, hotel pick-up, comfortable seats, and even the pizza on board made your journey enjoyable. We’ll also make sure to share your kind words with Miguel and Saida — they’ll be very happy to know they helped make your trip special. Thank you for choosing our service, and we hope you have an amazing time exploring Uyuni! 🇧🇴✨ Best wishes Road roaner Team

Uncomfortable
The bus looked luxurious but a lot of the seats were broken. The man in front of me had a broken seat and kept reclining the whole way back and onto my legs. It felt like my knees were being crushed. When I said it to the guide he just brushed it off. Also it says there’s charging ports but they actually don’t work. So I arrived to Uyuni with no battery in my phone. It advertises a luxury bus but in reality it can be quite uncomfortable.
Response from the operator: Dear Emily, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback with us. We genuinely regret that the bus journey was uncomfortable and impacted your first day in Uyuni. We want to assure you and future travelers that we have taken immediate action: the recline mechanism for that seat has been fully inspected and repaired, and our maintenance team has serviced the bus's electrical system to ensure all charging ports are functioning properly. We truly appreciate your understanding and your kind words regarding our onboard crew’s efforts to assist you during the trip. We wish you all the best on your remaining travels! Warm regards, The Altitude Alliance Team

Terrible - Would not recommend!
Our experience with this tour was extremely disappointing from start to finish. To begin with, our guide showed up late at our hotel on a holiday, which caused us to miss our scheduled bus. Instead, we had to walk and take two separate cable cars just to reach a different bus terminal—and then wait in the freezing cold for almost an hour. This was especially frustrating since we had already paid for a direct hotel pickup. When we finally got on the bus, the guide was carrying around our “meals,” which turned out to be cold pizza and lasagna. The food was awful. On top of that, the air conditioning either wasn’t working or wasn’t turned on, while the radiators were blasting heat all night. It was impossible to sleep because the bus was unbearably hot. Breakfast was another disappointment. We had to walk ten minutes in freezing weather to a café, only to be served cold bread and butter with a black coffee that was bitter and undrinkable—no milk provided. Overall, the entire package felt like a complete joke. What they advertise and what you actually get are two completely different things.
Response from the operator: Dear Kieran and Kelly, We are truly sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating it must have been to face delays and inconveniences during your tour, especially on a holiday like Halloween. Please know that our team always does its best to make the most appropriate decisions in real time to ensure that our guests do not lose their service, even when unexpected events occur that are beyond our control. Regarding the bus temperature, we would like to clarify that the heating levels you experienced are the standard across all buses operating in Bolivia, and we always strive to provide the most comfortable environment possible under these conditions. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our service and communication. We hope you can understand that we always act with the best intentions and with our passengers’ comfort in mind. Warm regards, Erika Bernal Rojas CEO ROAD RUNNER

Good the team, not the bus
We took the bus from La Paz to Uyuni and back. Miguel was very kind to us. He served us pizza for dinner and breakfast on the way back. He picked us up at the hotel and helped us get a taxi back. The only problem I had was with the bus: both the outbound and return journeys were too hot. The window radiators were burning, and all the windows were closed. I didn't get any sleep. The legroom is tight, and if you fold down the seat in front, you can't fit.
Response from the operator: Dear Angy, Thank you very much for your feedback! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear that Miguel took good care of you during your trip. We’ll definitely take your comments about the bus temperature into account, and for the upcoming summer season we’ll make the necessary adjustments to better regulate the temperature and ensure a more comfortable journey. Have good and safe travels! Best wishes Erika Bernal Rojas CEO Road Runner

Comfort and safety.
Comfortable and a good alternative when there are no flights available to Uyuni or La Paz. Drive is smooth and sleep is satisfactory.
Response from the operator: Dear Marika, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that you found our premium bus comfortable. We are truly dedicated to ensuring our passengers feel well taken care of. Your feedback means a lot to us, and it motivates us to continue delivering high-quality service. We hope to have the pleasure of accompanying you on another journey in the future. Best Regards Erika Rojas CEO ROAD RUNNER

La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Paz.
How much does La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Paz usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Paz is not rushed.
Is La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 80 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Paz, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus?
+
Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Paz can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Paz and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does La Paz Uyuni Premium Bus start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Paz within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in La Paz?
+
On Outty we rank every La Paz experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The World's Most Dangerous Road - Barracuda Biking's Death Road Riding, Death Road Biking Tour, Death Road, Bolivia: Mountain Bike Tour on the World's Most Dangerous Road. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit La Paz?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in La Paz?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
