    Don’t miss this experience!

This was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend — if you are considering it, book this tour! Robert is an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, professional, and sensitive guide. It’s clear that he loves and knows a great deal about Griffith Park and Los Angeles. I learned not only about the haunted stories of the area but also about the history, geology, flora, and fauna. He clearly loves sharing his insights, in a very respectful manner. There are also gorgeous views, including a beautiful sunset from the top and the city lights on the descent. We saw many birds, a deer, and a coyote. Robert went above and beyond continuing with this tour even though I was a solo traveler and there weren't other registrations this particular evening, even shared a water and snack with me, made sure I ascended at a pace comfortable to me, descended safely, and thoughtfully made sure I made it safely to my ride spot. This would be great also for a group of friends or family groups. Again, a wonderful experience that I can’t suggest highly enough. I learned so much, saw lovely sights, and it was a joy to meet Robert. I had a packed 5-day trip to LA, my first visit in over 25 years, and this was the highlight! Thank you, Robert!

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining me on the Haunted Hike. I am so proud it was one of your highlights. I love my city, I love nature, and of course, I love a good haunt. I can't wait till you visit Los Angeles again. Until then, happy ghost hunting. Rob/Tre

An Evening Ghost Hike Not To Be Missed!

Well led tour by our tour guide Robert who was both entertaining and informative. The views of the city were spectacular and the ghost stories were chilling. This was a very unique evening ghost hike in Griffith Park. Robert even took time to take us into the old L.A. Zoo when we expressed interest in seeing it. Our family has taken countless ghost tours over the years and this tour ranks among the best! I highly recommend this tour, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Robert for this great experience!

Response from the operator: Awww Thank you for being such adventures amateur ghost hunters, I enjoyed your family getting involved. Have a great 2025!!

Response from the operator: Thank you David, for your kind words, stories, and tip. I definitely would want you to join me for the Halloween Haunting NIghts coming in Sept 2024.

LA Night Hikers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Angeles.

How much does LA Night Hikers cost?

    +

Prices start at $31 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does LA Night Hikers take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Angeles is not rushed.

Is LA Night Hikers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule LA Night Hikers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is LA Night Hikers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book LA Night Hikers?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does LA Night Hikers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Angeles?

    +

Los Angeles rewards travellers who cluster their bookings by geography rather than by theme. Studio tours and Hollywood walks sit inland, the Malibu and Santa Monica coast runs west, and Griffith Observatory and the canyon hikes work best at dawn or dusk. We weight transport clarity in the ranking here: whether pickup is included changes an LA day more than the tour itself. On Outty we rank every Los Angeles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hollywood Sign 2.5-Hour Tour with Comedians and Their Dogs, Los Angeles Hollywood Sign Hike: Front, Behind, and Expert Guide, Los Angeles Original 90-Minute Walking Tour to The Hollywood Sign. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Angeles?

    +

March to May and September to November, for clear air and open canyon roads. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Angeles?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
