Natural Beauty; Immersive Experience
This was an incredible experience and a great way to connect with nature and the local culture. Cindy was a wonderful host. She picked us up near where we were staying and drove us through winding streets full of life and music to our destination, where we were greeted with fresh coconut water. Then we floated through the mangroves, learning about the local fauna and flora, and listening to the sound of traffic fade. Dont want to spoil the rest, but it’s well worth it.

Spectacular Natural Beauty; Authentic Cultural Experience
What an incredible experience! Cindy was an excellent host, genuinely enthusiastic about her culture and community. She picked us up with some local snacks--some local beers and uchuvas. On the way to the mangroves, Cindy told us about the quickly changing geography due to development and the rapidly growing population. After a short drive, she took us through winding streets in a neighborhood full of life and music. We stopped for empanadas on the side of the road, served with a side of what I think was aji verde--Cindy called it sauce for everything, and I agree with that. We eventually made it to her business, where we were greeted with fresh coco frio. After a brief introduction, and more coconut, we boarded a small fishing canoe and drifted off into the mangroves. We learned about the varieties of mangroves, their history and importance to the region. We saw lots of wildlife--parrots, parakeets, cranes, herons, king fishers, ducks, crabs, and a fish almost jumped into our boat! Eventually, the traffic noises faded, and we peacefully floated to a small island within the mangroves. Here, we were greeted by a farmer and his friendly pets. We stopped briefly to learn about his farm, which I can best describe as an organic permaculture homestead. We watched him feed his livestock--fish! Then he gave us a tour of his island--which included a visit with his turtles--Then we sat next to fans under his thatched roof open-air living room as our host passed out instruments and beers. We played and talked before heading back to the dock and disembarking on a sunset cruise back to Cindy's shop. When we arrived, we were greeted by a golden sunset and familiar friendly faces. I'm sure we must have looked overwhelmed upon our return to shore; the magic of the mangroves left us in awe. Thank you Cindy and friends for an unforgettable experience.

Canoeing
Excellent guides, very knowledgeable on the city and it’s history and very professional. I got lots of information useful for the rest of my trip. Food was quite good. The archeological museum is being repaired and contains some very interesting pieces so I’m sure it will be even better in the futur. I do recommend trips with this company, I had a very good time.

Did this tour before Covid Andrés was an amazing guide told me lots about the area as well the history of Cartagena and Columbia In general there was no rush at all even took my drone for a fly as well lovely canoe ride saw plenty of birds though the mangroves. Tasted amazing fish buy the locals to finish off. Andrés and his wife were so warm and friendly great people to chat with thanks guys.
