Not a great experience
We did not have a good experience. We paid for a 12 hour experience and 3 stops. We only did one stop. Our guide told us that we paid for a 10 hour trip and that we took too long at our first stop so we couldn’t do the other stops. I had asked him when we arrived at the first stop how much time we had there and he told us to take our time and enjoy. When we got back to the van he said we took too long and could not do the other stops. He said that we “could do them I guess” but they were just like this town. He also brought an extra companion with him that slept in the front of the van the whole time. It was so odd and really uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend this at all. Use another tour if you can to do this trip. And read the fine print. This was just a driver. Not a guided tour.

An immersion in the Japanese past.
Japanese UNESCO villages are wonderful, probably the most beautiful thing in the country. This tour is expensive but offers the opportunity to visit them without moving from Kyoto, whereas normally you would have to leave from Nagoya or Kanazawa. Hassan's kindness, helpfulness and sympathy were an added value that repaid the expense. Recommended!
