Amazing Places but not the Best Experience
While the places we visited were amazing we were not incredibly happy with the tour itself. The tour guide didn’t know anything beyond her script, no water provided, no way to discard trash at the end of the day after having to drink so much with the heat, bus driver would not turn on the bus while we waited 15 minutes for others that arrived late leaving us sweltering in the hot bus, tour guide pace was far too quick especially in the heat, couldn’t find the tour guide after they dropped us off at each location, and guide should have been more interactive and shared more information along the way and about each region. We spent too much time in Nara and not nearly enough time in Arashiyama. I did let the guide know they walked too fast so they did a better job of slowing down at the next two stops. The one bright spot was the lunch which was amazing!! I will say that Fushimi Inari Shrine was amazing and worth the heat to visit.
