From traditional patterns to pop designs that children will love, you can choose the one that best suits your family's individual tastes. Our experienced staff will carefully dress everyone, from small children to the elderly, so that everyone can wear a kimono comfortably. We help the whole family to look beautiful and feel comfortable. The store faces Kodaiji Ichinenzaka, the best place for sightseeing in Kyoto. Once you change into a kimono and step outside, the scenery of Kyoto unfolds. You can choose your kimono and accessories slowly. If you have any questions about coordination, please feel free to consult our staff.

Total guest vs per guest price miscommunication
Beware total due strictly means total due per person and not group total. I realize the misunderstanding was partly my fault, but in my busy planning period, clarity would have been appreciated. The owner was generous with discount of additional guests we had not planned for additional fees.

Family kimono rental that was beautiful and flexible
I booked a kimono rental from Mimosa for my family of six (from kids to grandparents) through the owner, Rei by contacting him via email to request an early 6am start time so that I could have a photo session at sunrise. He was very responsive, had clear communication, and was kind enough to accommodate my early start time. I had contacted at least three other shops who would not start so early. He sent me a reminder email a day or two in advance and also had two team members ready when we arrived at the shop. They were all positive, energetic, and eager to help us have a great experience. They gave helpful advice when asked and were flexible about things like my younger child wanting a sword and my parents wanting another layer (it was quite cold). I really appreciated the entire experience, and enjoyed the process and how nice everyone looked in our kimonos. They have a professional photographer that I wish I knew about in advance of booking; I went the other way around having booked my photographer and then the kimonos rentals. Thank you to Rei and team!
