Walk from Hanamikoji-dori Street, lined with historic teahouses and restaurants, to Gion Shimbashi, an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Partway through, enjoy the atmosphere of an evening in Gion illuminated by paper lanterns that vary by area, and visit the Tatsumi Shrine, also known as Gion's Inari Shrine, where maiko pray for improvement in their art.

Salt can be used instead of the tempura dipping sauce. The ingredients of tempura are tofu, namafu wheat gluten, yuba tofu skin, and vegetables in season, such as eggplants, lotus root, ginger, and shiitake mushrooms. Miso soup and rice are also served. Requests for Muslim-friendly meals, Indian thali meals, and allergy-friendly meals are not accepted

Kyoto by Night experience
We had an amazing time on the Kyoto by Night tour. Everything was perfectly organized, and the experience was both enjoyable and fascinating. We had delicious food, watched a beautiful traditional performance, and discovered so much about Kyoto and Japanese culture. A special thank you to our guide, Mr. Yoshitaka Harada, who was exceptional: he shared fascinating stories about Kyoto, explained the city’s history and traditions, and entertained us with countless interesting anecdotes about both Kyoto and Japan. His passion, knowledge, and friendly personality made the tour truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Unfortunately disappointing
The theatre was good but without the puppet show, disappointing. The restaurant and food were wonderful. The tea ceremony was a highlight. The guide was very disappointing, seemingly knowledgeable but with a group of 16 most of us heard virtually nothing.

Very nice experience
Great experience. The dinner was specially nice. We dined on a traditional japanase in, participated on a tea ceremony and were taken on a tour through the place!
