1. Dataran Merdeka

   After pickup from the Malaysia Tourism Center (MATIC) or your centrally located hotel in Kuala Lumpur, travel by air-conditioned minivan to the first stop on your full-day tour: Merdeka Square. Also called Independence Square, this symbol of Malaysian independence is one of the most picturesque squares in the world. Admire both traditional and modern architectural masterpieces before moving on to the River of Life

2. The River of Life

   Next is a visit to The River of Life Kuala Lumpur which has been listed in world’s top 10 Waterfront Districts by The Independent, United Kingdom’s online news portal recently. Visitors can expect a stunning experience when visiting this stretch of riverfront at the heart of KL before moving on to the King’s Palace.

3. National Mosque (Masjid Negara)

   Contrast your visit to these glass and steel marvels with the National Mosque (Masjid Negara), located in the heart of the city amid lush green gardens. Built in 1965, it is one of the most elegant buildings in KL and features a spectacular main dome covered in green and blue tiles, along with 48 smaller domes spread across the Mecca-inspired courtyard.

4. National Monument

   Next is the National Monument (Tugu Negara), a bronze tribute to the lives that were lost in the fight for Malaysian independence, designed by American architect Felix de Weldon. At the end of the tour you’ll be taken back to the starting point.

5. Malayan Railway Administration Building

   and the exquisite façade of the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station with its fairytale-like towers and mix of Eastern and Western architectural styles.

   Stop by the tranquil Lake Gardens, the National Museum — home to collections of ancient and modern art pieces, weapons, and traditional costume

7. Thean Hou Temple

   Next up is the Chinese Thean Hou Temple. Learn about the synergy of influences such as Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism that converge to form an unforgettable architectural ensemble. Checkout out numerous statues of animals from astrology and impressive statues of the Goddess of Mercy and the Goddess of the Waterfront.

8. Istana Negara

   Known as Istana Negara, this residence of the King of Malaysia doesn't allow visitor access inside the building, but you can take photos of the exterior along with the changing of the guards, which occurs hourly.

9. Petronas Twin Towers

   The Petronas Twin Towers are an ideal place for photo ops; gaze at the city skyline and capture unforgettable moments on camera. (photo stop only, admission not included)

10. KLCC Park

    KLCC Park is a 50-acre garden set close to Suria KLCC shopping centre. Designed by Roberto Burle Marx, it was designed to provide a touch of greenery for the Petronas Twin Towers and the areas surrounding it. On the park grounds is a 10,000sqm manmade lake (Lake Symphony) with a 43m bridge that cuts across.

11. Royal Selangor Visitor Centre

    Visitor center taking guests through the history of Royal Selangor's pewter manufacturing. Wander through museum exhibits and live demo on pewter crafting.Watch how pewter crafting is done real-time from casting, polishing to assembling. Snap a photo with the world’s largest pewter tankard. An iconic visitor centre landmark. A unique rendition of the petrons twin towers made from over 7000 tankards.

    Next we stop at Batik Factory – see how Batik is designed and printed. Craft center since 1976 with batik demonstrations & classes, plus Malaysian-made gifts & clothing

13. Batu Caves

    Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. Some of the cave entrances were used as shelters by the indigenous Temuan people (a tribe of Orang Asli). The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of the Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia. Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Murugan as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in Malaysia. The three others in Malaysia are Kallumalai Temple in Ipoh, Tanneermalai Temple in Penang and Sannasimalai Temple in Malacca. Note: - Keeping your eyes open to be aware of the monkeys. Don’t feed them! - Hold cameras close and use a neck strap if you have one. - Please don’t carry any plastic bags, monkeys will aggressive on this.

14. Your next stop is Setapak Hot Spring, where you can soak your tired feet in the healing mineral waters. According to the locals, this place has been in existence for the past four decades and is a popular spot among the locals. They believed that this spring water is able to cure them of skin diseases and other ailments. Hence it is not surprising that you see many elderly and young people coming here to take bath especially during the weekends.

15. The Kanching Falls

    Then continue on to Kanching Falls for a look at the impressive seven-tiered waterfall. You decide how long you'd like to linger in the shade, scramble on the boulders, or take a refreshing dip.
