An interesting and thought provoking tour. Well worth a visit.

A very interesting and thought provoking tour. Transport arrangements with tour operator (Hello Cracow) were made via WhatsApp which worked well. We pre-ordered a lunch (no payment made) but the message failed to reach the driver but as it turned out we were back by lunch time (our pick up time was 6am). As advised, allow the whole day for the tour as timings need to be flexible due to museum allocating tour times to tour operators. Tour size was good, only 21 on our tour. Onsite tour guide was very good and knowledgeable and the whole experience was well organised.

    A sobering and...

A sobering and educational tour. Despite the emotional nature of the tour, Auschwitz is worth a visit. The driver/tour leader was very friendly and shared lots of information during the trip to the camp. The tour was well organised and ran on time. Communication was good before and during the trip. The actual tour was extremely rushed due to how the camp is managed. They are allowing too many tourists in at a single time resulting in being rushed and not being able to spend the time with the exhibits that many would like to spend. Of all the camps I've visited, this was the most rushed.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your review. We truly appreciate your thoughtful words about your Auschwitz-Birkenau experience. We’re glad to hear that you found the tour sobering and educational, and that you appreciated the friendly approach of our driver/tour leader and the information shared during the journey. We’re also pleased that the organization, punctuality, and communication before and during the trip met your expectations. We understand your frustration regarding the pace of the visit. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a deeply emotional place, and we recognize that having more time with individual exhibits would allow visitors to reflect and absorb the information more fully. The flow and visitor management inside the Memorial are determined by the site itself, but we appreciate you highlighting how strongly this affected your experience. Thank you for choosing Hello Cracow and for sharing your honest and valuable feedback with future travelers. 💛 Hello Cracow strengths: 🟢 Friendly and informative tour leaders 🟢 Good communication before and during the tour 🟢 Reliable and punctual organization 🟢 Meaningful historical education 🟢 Respectful approach to sensitive places 🟢 Professional guest support throughout the journey #HelloCracow #Auschwitz #Birkenau #AuschwitzBirkenau #AuschwitzTour #KrakowTours #CracowTours #VisitCracow #DiscoverCracow #ExploreKrakow #CustomerFeedback #CustomerServiceExcellence #RespectfulTravel #EducationalTravel #GuidedToursKrakow #PassionateGuides #HistoricalTours #CulturalHeritage #HistoryMatters #TravelWithRespect #MeaningfulTravel #KrakowExperience #Remembrance #NeverForget #LearnFromHistory #WellOrganizedTour #TravelWithEase #HighlyRecommended #VisitKrakow #DiscoverPoland

Heartbreaking but worthy of life time experience

The was one of the most real experiences I have ever had. Sitting in school learning the history of the concentration and death camps was hard, but to go and see what happened and be present on the ground, felt completely different. Our tour guide was amazing and with each part went through each section with as much information as possible. Honestly say, I pray we never see the likes of this again.. That as humans we've learned from our mistakes.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your thoughtful review. We truly appreciate your words about this deeply meaningful experience. We’re glad to hear that visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau in person gave you a different perspective from learning about its history in school. Standing in the actual places where these events happened can be an incredibly powerful and emotional experience, and we’re grateful that our guide helped you understand each section through clear and detailed explanations. We’re especially pleased to hear that you found the guide amazing and that the visit left such a lasting impression. We share your hope that the lessons of this history will never be forgotten and that humanity will learn from the past. Thank you for choosing Hello Cracow for this important journey. 💛 Hello Cracow strengths: 🟢 Knowledgeable and respectful guides 🟢 Detailed historical explanations 🟢 Meaningful and educational experiences 🟢 Respectful approach to places of remembrance 🟢 Helping guests connect with history 🟢 Supporting remembrance and education #HelloCracow #Auschwitz #Birkenau #AuschwitzBirkenau #AuschwitzTour #KrakowTours #CracowTours #VisitCracow #DiscoverCracow #ExploreKrakow #CustomerFeedback #CustomerServiceExcellence #RespectfulTravel #EducationalTravel #GuidedToursKrakow #PassionateGuides #HistoricalTours #CulturalHeritage #HistoryMatters #TravelWithRespect #MeaningfulTravel #KrakowExperience #Remembrance #NeverForget #NeverAgain #LearnFromHistory #WellOrganizedTour #HighlyRecommended #VisitKrakow #DiscoverPoland

Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 9,882 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket?

    +

Around 3,459 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
