More than just a cooking class

We recently learned how to make pirogies with Kasia. She was wonderful. We went to the market together and among other things, bought wild blueberries picked in the forest. We then went to her home for a cooking lesson. Kasia was a very warm host and made us feel comfortable from the first moment. But it was more than just a cooking class. It was a golden opportunity to leave tourist ridden Krakow for a while and experience contact with a lovely local person. I enjoyed talking with her, listening to Polish folk music while we cooked, and learning to close the pirogies in an embellished style - upon my request. And I also loved her very overweight and furry black cat.

    Pierogi class with Kasia

I attended the pierogi making class with my sister and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We met our guide Kasia and went to the local market to shop for ingredients before heading to her home to make pierogies. I'm a novice cook, but even I was able to make some delicious tasting Polish treats! Kasia shared her recipe and I look forward to making them at home.

Local market shopping with Pierogi making class

Kasia was absolutely fabulous. My daughter has celiac and she was very accommodating and we were able to make gluten free pierogi for her to enjoy. She took us through the local market to buy our food which was a great experience and we enjoyed sharing stories while making pierogi in her home. Highly recommend!

    Perfect pierogis!

My sister and I booked the pierogi making class with Kasia and had a great time. Kasia met us near the Old Town where we went to a nearby local market to buy our ingredients and practice our Polish. After exploring the market, we took a taxi (part of the fee) with Kasia to her home where we were offered a drink and treated to some delicious traditional Polish appetizers: kielbasa, sauerkraut, pickles, and cheese. We prepped ingredients together and chatted while we did so. The pace was relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable. We made potato and cheese pierogis as well as some fruit pierogis made with “forest blueberries” we picked up at the market. Truthfully, the best pierogis I’ve ever had and the best part was since we were staying in a flat, we took the leftovers and had them for dinner, too! At the conclusion of the session, we were sent back to our flat by taxi. Later, Kasia sent us the recipe by email so that we have our “secret recipe” ready to go. We are so excited to try and replicate these light and fluffy pierogis at home! Highly recommend this activity and Kasia!

Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal cost?

    +

Prices start at $112 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 288 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal?

    +

Around 101 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Krakow Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Visit & Home-Cooked Meal start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
